I've had the printer and computer on and off in the morning and again when I returned home this afternoon. Same results. Where would I find the LFP Remote Panel/Status Monitor software. The used 4800(the one I'm having trouble with) came with no software, but I do have the original cd that came with my original 4800. Inever did have much luck with the LFP so, even though it's on the desktop, I've never used it. All nozzle checks and head cleanings have been through either PS or Windows.
Two things. First(and I don't know if it means anything) when I power up the 2nd(used) printer, on the LCD just to the left of the ink level indicators, is a "1". I'm assuming that is because it is Copy 1. Secondly, I sent the problem to Epson support and this was their reply:
"We have seen this issue occur on other systems that are sharing Epson printers. For some reason the status monitors conflict and we are unable to run the utility on one of the models.
We can recommend connecting one of the printer with either an ethernet connection or firewire. However, please be advised that this may not resolve the issue."
Not very encouraging to suggest using something they state is not compatable(firewire) or that it is a known issue(and must have been for quite a while) and they choose to not provide a solutiuon.
