I've been searching for months for a 1D Mk IV. My benchmark is B&H. They've been out of stock for nearly 6-months. I know the horrible tsunami in Japan knocked much of camera production for a loop, but now, 9-months later, high end cameras are hard to find. That leads me to speculation: has Canon ceased production of the 1D4 (and 1Ds3) to focus on new models? As a CPS Member, I received emails from Canon that parts might be scarce for awhile, but that was back in March when new high end cameras were drying up. Any thoughts on the rumor mill? All my bodies are 3-4 years old so, in my eye, a little long in the tooth in the digital world. I'm happy with them, but after using a CPS 1D4 a number of times would love to upgrade mynaging 1D3.
