As for a statue being the subject of street photography. Several years ago I had a work project where I had to take images of public statues in Sydney. Most of the images I took had nothing to do with the street. The one statue that had a great deal of interaction was Il Porcellino the wild boar in the image. He is outside Sydney Hospital and is used for fund raising, rub his nose and you'll have good luck. Over the years he has taken on a new role all on his own, rub him elswere and you'll increase your fertility. I could have had a hand in the image but I though that I would leave that up to people's imaginations. Street photography can include how people react to thheir environment and I think Il Porcellino fits the bill.
Interestingly I'm in two minds as to whether the bomb image is a steet image. It was more of a bump to get the thread started.
