Photoshop 5 Error message

When I start PS5 I get this error message

"One or more files in the Adobe Application Support folder,  necessary for the running of PS, are missing.  Please run the PS installer and re-install"

I have done this and keep getting the message at startup.

I am on a Mac Pro with snow leopard..

Has anyone else experienced this?

Let me guess -- you deleted either CS3 or CS4 after you installed CS5?  Unfortunately that nukes a folder needed by CS5 too.  Running a repair installation of CS5 should fix it.

Thanks Jack...  I did delete CS3....  How in the world do I do a repair install?  I have never did this

If you run the CS5 installation program again, you should get a message that says something like this program is already installed, what do you want to do?  At that point, you want to reinstall and it should pick up the missing folder.  I am traveling and don't have my installation DVD, so cannot run it to get the exact process, but I know I went through that same thing after deleting CS3 off my system...

This is exactly what happened to me.  I installed CS5, ran it for a week to make sure it was fine, then uninstalled CS4.  After getting the error message, I installed CS5 again and everything was fixed.

Funny how things work.  I had done this twice before,  re-install...  nothing happened.  I guess the third time is a charm.
