Beginner's Guide to Astrophotography

Just saw this Beginner's Guide to Astrophotography at Space.com.  (Actually I saw it at Space.com via my My Yahoo! page.)

This "guide" is amazingly bad. I've done a bit of astrophotography, but not that much since I am located in one of the world's most light polluted areas and I have only a couple of clear nights each month.

Here's one taken with a 550/2.7 lens (called a FFC) and a Canon 40D

If I remember well, several other members here are more experienced and have better skies.

For a french audience, Astrosurf website ( http://www.astrosurf.com/ ) provides a lot of usefull info.

I know nexto to nothing in astrophoto but I like the images…
