I am looking for a printer that can make photographic prints on aluminum sheets. I saw a company doing this at the PhotoExpo show in NYC, but I can't find the information anywhere. Any ideas of where I can get this done?[{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a]
Book Smart Studio has some pre-coated aluminum that you could try out:http://www.booksmartstudio.com/store/index...b80151356b3df91I ordered a sample kit to test the different weights and surfaces. They also have ICC profiles for their coated metal sheets, makes it well worth the cost to order from them to start.I also ordered some inkAid to coat some aluminum that I have. I haven't had a chance to test it yet.I printed on my Epson 7600 with no problem. You will need a straight path printer. Pigment works well.Best,Michael[a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=168042\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a]
Yes Eric at Booksmart has put a lot of time and money into having this product produced!
I have not yet tried this, but using Inkaid supposedly allows you to print on any surface--plus, I believe they actually have metal sheets already coated for sale. I presume any inkjet printer with the allowable media width could use them.http://www.inkaid1.com/Products/FineArtMetals.html Diane[a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=168037\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a]
