Afterwards I have added some grain in the shadows from scanned 400ISO Tri-X.

How did you do that? My guess is a scan of a shot of a flat grey board, just to get a sample of the grain with no tonal variance, then blended in as a layer in PS. However you did it, great work. Love the kid too. A great moment you captured.

Indeed a shot of an evenly lit flat grey'ish board on old PS trick I picked up somewhere else on the net. I did this a while ago with some films and am planning asking a friend that still only works analogue to do some more for me. He works with 8x10 mostly and makes large scans so plenty of file to mess around with

I blended it in via a layer on Overlay in PS. Selected the highlights, inversed selection and made a mask on that layer to have the majority of the grain in the shadows.

zaha hadid opera house in Guanzhou obviously under construction, and a misarable day it was on that site with the rain, but just unbelievable project and the scale is enormous.
