Hope 2008 is going great for you.

Can you please tell me where you took this fantastic image.

My replacement Mamiya 28mm has arrive in New Zealand about 10 days ago but the customs are dragging there feet.

I will post new images with the lens when I finally get it in my nervous hands.

Thank you for the kind words.  The image is the Greenriver Overlook, Islands of The Sky District, Canyonslands National Park, Moab Utah.  Just down the road from Mesa Arch and Deadhorse State Park.

Please keep us posted on the new lens

It always impressed me how an artist can give the client what he wants and still tag on his own opinion

Model casting for a men's magazine this past Sunday.  Sorry that this is not like the typical nature and landscape images that most of you guys submitted.

Hasselblad H3D-31 HC 80mm lens, exposure f/8.0, shutter speed 1/125s, ISO 100. Hensel Integra Pro monolight w/Photoflex 7' Octodome.

The last assigments for this client ended up with smiling people.

I`m glad I brought home something different this time.

Client is happy, thoug. And this is the picture that changed my client´s opinion about digital photography: from now on, I can always work digitally and don´t have to torture myself with my drumscanner.

Really didn’t known if I wanted to put this in recent works or the 28mm lens thread –

Here’s fast down and dirty beach shot from this afternoon.  It was later afternoon when Ken got us here and of course it was raining.  I did a small amount of workup on the image but more than likely missed a few rain drops…  Mamiya AFD II 28 mm lens ISO 100; 1/5 at f/32.

Love seeing your new work from CA!  I hope the weather doesn't put a damper on your shooting.  I hope you'll post more images from your trip to this thread.

Is the barman image a full frame or cropped image.

I find the 'posterized' noise in the extreme dark areas very 'present',regardless
of what iso setting was used

This image has been very strongly postprocessed, PS shadow/higlight and custom channel mixer BW conversion, and quite a bit cropped, and started out as something like ISO 1250 to boot ... I like the noise and weird look. If people here want, I can post the Raw. I do agree the shadows are blocking up a bit fast.

Retouched to remove table stains, bits of blue-tack & wire support & to boost colour saturation of the flowers a little.

I'm sad about all the fond memorys I have of that cam... had it since 86! the gear that replaced it produces even better results, and at a more friendly workflow.
