Lightroom and Logitech SetPoint conflict
« on: May 13, 2007, 11:38:32 am »

I've identified a strage conflict between LR and Logitech's SetPoint software (ver 3.3). It's all on WinXP SP2.
When SetPoint is loaded, which allows for advanced functionalities in mouse to be used (I have MX Revolution), LR does not launch at all. There's no error message, no splash screens, no freezing - just nothing happens.
When I close SetPoint (from Task tray icon) - LR starts without any problem. But then I can use only basic mouse functions, which are probably catered for by the system itself.

Anybody else saw this behaviour? I've tried searching on Internet, but can't find anything about this problem.
Any help very welcome.

Yes, I see exactly the same behavior. Anybody with good ideas? If I start Logitech Setpoint after Lightroom, then it works fine. My Setpoint version is 3.30.165.

I guess this is only with the later versions of setpoint, I am using a g5 mouse with version 2.42.247 (have never updated) and lightroom works fine.

edit: I'm on XP too.
