Brrrr! Well done. And some nice abstracts if you wanted to crop. May I ask where this was; we live on the lake near Milwaukee for 25 years, but I usually stayed inside on days like these... unless the Packers were playing

Thanks. These were in Saugatuck Dunes State Park, about 10-15 miles south of Holland, Michigan.

Spectacular images but do you work in camera equipment testing ;-)
I wouldn't venture that far, near the water to be honest.

Thank you! This wasn't planned, my pants were not waterproof and I got soaked followed by frozen pretty well. I encountered similar conditions in the past but the wind and the shape of the ice wall made even small waves rise quite a lot. Once I got hit I decided I might as well try to get more shots. Next time I'll have waterproof sleeves.

Thank you, I like to believe the risks were under control.

I also went back to a different place and came back with more shots, while losing a tripod leg (was out on the back of the backpack and the leg that wasn't secured somehow unscrewed itself entirely)

Thank you. It paid off to keep going back.

Few days later I went to find the tripod leg that somehow unscrewed itself and fell without me noticing. Luckily nobody had a use for it and I was able to locate it, while still wandering how was it even possible. be that as it may, the ice started to break and I got more shots.

Another nice set about the cold. The second one (mich-2.jpeg) makes me think to Death Valley Badwater area with the round shapes.

Wow, I love these. I applaud your dedication. I really like that kind of triangular piece of shore - a very interesting subject!
I bet if you could catch a banger sunset or sunrise here it would take things up another notch. But it might be unpleasant.
Well done. Hopefully you have some spikes for traction. If not I recommend them!
