Light and Fog

Three high key B/W photographs of a fog-shrouded lake and its surroundings. I find the first photo very compelling, as it has a feeling of being disassociated from any visual foundation. The second and third photos are equally evocative, but for different reasons. I'd appreciate hearing your C&C, and thanks for stopping by.

Other than needing major curves adjustments, less ETTR, a hue/sat fix, and ruthless cropping and AI sharpening, I think you've made some  pretty fine images.

I like them. For my taste, they have too much grain/noise, which detracts from the intended (was it?) tranquil mood.

I disagree. As presented, these photos are delicate, ephemeral, and communicate the feeling of being in heavy fog. Well done! Although the first one puzzles me, what's the rectangle in the center?

Thanks, Peter. That 'thing' is the outflow structure to the man-made lake.

Thanks, Paulo. I intentionally added the grain and obscured the details. Not everyone's cup of tea.

Others have also commented that the second has more structure, with its leading line, etc. Honestly, while I like it, the first one is my favorite because of its ambiguity, but that's just me. Thanks.
