Canada's Fall 2022 Leaf?

Finally got out and rediscovered my "nearby" wood lot.
 
"tiptoeing" into the creek - looking about - .... tripod, et al,  setup, snap,..... and,   well,  got yah.

Duh, beats me  ;)! But the print looks sideways, should it be rotated CCW? Nice shot in any event.

Bob_B, Francois, Thank you kindly,

The red maple leaves caught my attention, especially so because most trees in this woodlot are very mature, and did not show much red at all,   mostly yellows and pale greens. Might be due to the hot summer and little rain this year. In any case, I found a couple of outliers.

sometimes, can't quite explain it, but when the moment hits ,... the shutter is pressed.

yes, the lens (when well chosen ) has much to do with that decision.

If I ever get another opportunity,... I'll remember to definitely capture each individually,  as well as both.

I wish now I could go back,... but alas the moments flickered away,
