Current versions are: firmware: TR12-RB_16.0.0.1 V4 pcl3 Driver Version:61.2201.0.100 Qimage ultimate : up to date Windows 10 brand new install
Hi @William Chitham , were you able to get this sorted out? I realize you posted this almost 2 years ago but I got my Z3200ps only a few months after that, however wasn't able to get it repaired and running until now.
I'm having the exact same issues you describe, with all pointing to the printer not communicating back. The PCL3 ("V4") driver version I installed in Windows 10 is 61.2313.0.100, which was actually just released in Jan 2024(!). My Rev B firmware version is the same as yours (there is a newer one available from 2023 though I'm reluctant to try it -- TR12-RB_17_00_01-1).
The PCL printer driver interface is the funny "modern" Windows one, not the more legacy one like shown in your PS driver screenshot above (screenshot
in this thread). It doesn't show any paper info from the printer, and Econo mode for GE is not even an option.
The printer properties Ports tab shows that "bidirectional support" is greyed out, and I think this is key (see screenshot attached). The installation also set up the printer on a "Standard" TCP/IP port instead of an "HP TCP/IP" port like my Z3100 is on, and no matter how many ways I try to redo the install manually, I can't get the printer onto an HP port (nor do I know if it really matters tbh).
The driver installation also failed to install the ICC profiles (without giving any errors). After adding the printer manually to HP Utility and opening HP Colour Centre, the sync paper presets option is greyed out. Also in the HP Utility Alerts, several of the alert settings are greyed out. (See 2 other screenshots attached).
Where to download older driver versions (safely)?
Thanks!
