You have to keep up the hikes! Good for your health as well as your photography!

They are pretty nice. I think it would be more balanced if the bracken on the left side was almost equal to the right side. It would appear more rhythmic. But I guess that was not possible. Just personal taste - I think I would try to darken the striping and reduce brightness on the middle trunk, see if that makes the striping pop out more.

I like the left/right balance, but I would crop out the bottom 20%, to eliminate the large area of bare trunk.  It also looks like the closest fungi may be slightly out of focus?  The out-of-focus sides and background are pleasing.  If you go back, maybe try for less contrast lighting?  Still a great shot, worth perfecting with another visit.

Those have a likeness to mushrooms (which, if are recall, are fungii, too).
