Always prompted for login
« on: September 29, 2021, 08:27:43 am »

This is just a minor irritation but it is irritating. I am prompted to subscribe and/or login every time I visit LuLa Home -- even after checking 'Remember Me'. I have been a subscriber for years now. I suspect I'm not the only one being irritated.

Do you have your browser set to delete stuff on exit? That might be it.

I don't have this problem with other sites. I didn't change anything but now the problem has gone away. Thanks to someone for something.

My subscription expires Dec 2, 2021. I think I'll let it expire and then rejoin rather than renew before it expires.

Have you tried clearing your cache, Gordon?

Yes.  I used CCleaner to clear the cache. Had to login but the login did not stick to LuLa. Forum recognized me though.

All I can do is laugh. I'm still prompted to login and subscribe but today I received an email noting that my subscription would soon automatically renew!

This is amusing but irritating. My subscription was automatically renewed and I was sent the receipt email. The advertisement to subscribe still pops up everytime I check in to LuLa. I log in and check "Remember Me" to no avail. I changed my password and was sent an email that the password change was successful. I have no similar problems with other sites. Obviously, I'm doing something wrong and this is all my fault but it is still irritating.

Not necessarily your fault. Are your forum password and subscription pass the same?

Finally! I'm no longer asked to subscribe every time I visit LuLa.

I clicked on the "X" in the upper right hand corner of the subscribe window to close the subscribe window. It closed and no longer opens. I'm sure I've not clicked on the "X" previously.

Apparently, the logic for opening the subscribe window prompt is not based on whether or not you are a subscriber. The logic must be based on whether you have closed the subscribe window at one time.

Nope. The subscription advertisement came back after a day or two.

The bad thing about not being recognized as a subscriber (I think) is that I am flooded with advertisements -- makes me want to hurry away from the main page.

Always prompted to login. Checking the "remember me" box is no help at all. I received an email that auto renewal was about to take place. Always recognized in the forum but not the main page. Just a bit annoying.

Update: Has been working well now for the past week. I have no problem logging in at any time.

Sorry to learn that others have the same problem but somewhat pleased that I'm not alone. My auto renewal took place and I received emails confirming renewal but am still prompted to subscribe -- makes me want to hurry away from the main page.

Still being asked to subscribe. Logged in, checked "Remember Me". No reason to expect this to work as it never has. Again, Lula recognizes me well enough to automatically renew my subscription and email me a receipt but continues to pester me as a non-subscriber.
