This is just a minor irritation but it is irritating. I am prompted to subscribe and/or login every time I visit LuLa Home -- even after checking 'Remember Me'. I have been a subscriber for years now. I suspect I'm not the only one being irritated.

Do you have your browser set to delete stuff on exit? That might be it.
-
I don't have this problem with other sites. I didn't change anything but now the problem has gone away. Thanks to someone for something.
-
Opps, prompt came back.
-
My subscription expires Dec 2, 2021. I think I'll let it expire and then rejoin rather than renew before it expires.
-
Have you tried clearing your cache, Gordon?
J
-
Yes. I used CCleaner to clear the cache. Had to login but the login did not stick to LuLa. Forum recognized me though.
-
All I can do is laugh. I'm still prompted to login and subscribe but today I received an email noting that my subscription would soon automatically renew!
-
^ I'm sorry logging in has been a stress, our webmaster will guide you through it. I'll have him contact you.
Best

This is amusing but irritating. My subscription was automatically renewed and I was sent the receipt email. The advertisement to subscribe still pops up everytime I check in to LuLa. I log in and check "Remember Me" to no avail. I changed my password and was sent an email that the password change was successful. I have no similar problems with other sites. Obviously, I'm doing something wrong and this is all my fault but it is still irritating.

Not necessarily your fault. Are your forum password and subscription pass the same?
Josh
-
Yes, same password.
-
I have the same problem.
Always asked to subscribe so I have to sign in.

Finally! I'm no longer asked to subscribe every time I visit LuLa.
I clicked on the "X" in the upper right hand corner of the subscribe window to close the subscribe window. It closed and no longer opens. I'm sure I've not clicked on the "X" previously.
Apparently, the logic for opening the subscribe window prompt is not based on whether or not you are a subscriber. The logic must be based on whether you have closed the subscribe window at one time.
-
Nope. The subscription advertisement came back after a day or two.
-
The bad thing about not being recognized as a subscriber (I think) is that I am flooded with advertisements -- makes me want to hurry away from the main page.
-
I have the same problem.

Always prompted to login. Checking the "remember me" box is no help at all. I received an email that auto renewal was about to take place. Always recognized in the forum but not the main page. Just a bit annoying.
Update: Has been working well now for the past week. I have no problem logging in at any time.
-
Sorry to learn that others have the same problem but somewhat pleased that I'm not alone. My auto renewal took place and I received emails confirming renewal but am still prompted to subscribe -- makes me want to hurry away from the main page.

Still being asked to subscribe. Logged in, checked "Remember Me". No reason to expect this to work as it never has. Again, Lula recognizes me well enough to automatically renew my subscription and email me a receipt but continues to pester me as a non-subscriber.

My login and checking "remember me" yesterday did not last even 24 hours.
-
Yep, still prompted to subscribe. Logged in and checked "Remember me" just like yesterday.
At least I've learned that I'm not the only one affected.
-
I'm not sure why this is still occurring, apology. Please email webmaster@luminous-landscape.com, Paul our webmaster will help you out.

Still prompted to subscribe. Logged in and checked "Remember me" just like yesterday.
Contacted the webmaster. No response.

Ah, the irritation continues! I'm tempted to click the 'subscribe' button and try to subscribe again. Maybe tomorrow.
-
Ha! Once again -- as always -- urged to subscribe. Curious, I decided to risk $12 and try to subscribe using my known profile. However, I was not allowed to subscribe (again) because "someone" already was using that information.
-
Ah, another day of being urged to subscribe -- but how?
-
You sure get some fun for your money! :D
You haven't set browser or an extension to decline cookies? Tried clearing cache?
Perhaps try another browser? Or - since you're willing to use another $12 - create new user/profile/email...
It's a piece of cake to check the steps the system takes when you log in. But this of course requires an administrator...
-
I've cleared the cache and don't have this problem with other sites. Come to think about it though, I don't recall being asked about accepting cookies at Lula although other sites ask about cookies and I accept.
You're right about having fun for my $12 though. Guess I'll miss griping when the 'problem' is fixed. But today, I was again prompted to subscribe.
-
Running out of ways to say that I'm still being prompted to subscribe.
-
Haven't you received some suggestions from server admin?
He/she really only needs to take a look in the log files to see your issue.
It's strange that it's only you with this problem? Or are there others?
btw... Unless you're one of the nutters surfing the web without an ad-blocker, try disabling this.
-
Others have the same problem.
The administrator suggested that I clear my cache and I did--no effect.
I don't use ad blockers. You gave me an idea though; I'll turn off Norton virus protection momentarily.
-
Nope, turning off Norton virus protection and firewall had no effect.
-
If none of the above works - and since you're not alone - of course it's a server side issue...
"call pop-up if user subscription = 0" :P
Sorry for interfering, lack of feedback and solution just made me wonder if ship has been abandoned?
And sorry for calling you a nutter! :D but no ad-blocker, really?
Best of luck!

Still prompted to subscribe.
If the issue is ever resolved, I'll have to get another hobby!

Another day of being prompted to subscribe ...

Gordon, have you contacted our webmaster whose contact I supplied?

Sorry, Gordon, I'll prompt him.

I changed my menu to link to https://luminous-landscape.com instead of www.luminous-landscape.com and the advertisement no longer appears.
-
Thanks, Gordon. I made your change and that worked for me. Well done!
