Josh,
This is not a comment on the content of the article, more the look of it on the new website.  In context (which I think is important) I'm viewing it on a 32" 4k screen.

The images in the article are about 2/3 the width of the screen, so you can do the math for how many pixels they are.  On my 4k monitor they appear to have been enlarged far too much.  As I recall for the articles I've submitted in the past, files 1000 pixels wide were requested and this was fine as the images were not auto-expanded to fit (most of) the screen.  If the images are the same then they are being enlarged far too much for a large screen.

Aside from the quality of the images the text appears as though it is a series of sentences, no paragraphs and consequently it comes across as very disjointed.  I doubt the author wrote it this way so I assume (but could be wrong) that this is something to do with the layout, or perhaps an interaction between the layout method and the incoming file.

I hope this can be improved.

Regards

Mike

Agreed.  The title image for "No More Deception" is atrocious on my 27" 2160 px wide display.  It looks like it's upscaled from about 320 px wide.

For a site that purports to embrace fine art photography, the overall look of the site is the exact opposite of inspiring.  It looks like it originates from Dreamweaver circa 1999.

I agree completely with Peter and MCBroomf.
The current website design makes it look as if the purpose of the site is to encourage people to dislike photography.

Ouch! It seems that the images have been upscaled to 2000 pixels.
Even on a very mundane HD screen, it hurts. Looks okay on a phone, though.

Thanks for the feedback - obviously the “zoom-in stuff”/banner image per article isn’t working perfectly (or at all depending on your taste
/ nor the animation etc. Agree.

Other elements and the categories and over all design navigation is a vast improvement, no question.
So I won’t address overall hater language.
But, it’s going to be more process until it’s where it can be.
