This is not a comment on the content of the article, more the look of it on the new website. In context (which I think is important) I'm viewing it on a 32" 4k screen.
The images in the article are about 2/3 the width of the screen, so you can do the math for how many pixels they are. On my 4k monitor they appear to have been enlarged far too much. As I recall for the articles I've submitted in the past, files 1000 pixels wide were requested and this was fine as the images were not auto-expanded to fit (most of) the screen. If the images are the same then they are being enlarged far too much for a large screen.
Aside from the quality of the images the text appears as though it is a series of sentences, no paragraphs and consequently it comes across as very disjointed. I doubt the author wrote it this way so I assume (but could be wrong) that this is something to do with the layout, or perhaps an interaction between the layout method and the incoming file.
I hope this can be improved.
