Wouldn't your ”valuable” time be more constructively spent on a new hobby; perhaps photography?
See, that's more BS so consider this a non-reply.

I get it that you disagree with me. That doesn't really matter, does it.

Let's leave aside policy differences for the moment (and I think that it's pretty obvious by now that Trump has no interest in policy anyway). The thing is, are you really ok with the Pres of the USA hawking sneakers, bibles and "collector" coins on the campaign trail? Is that really a good look for the "leader of the free world"?
Are you really OK with a nitwit running for the "leader of the free world" who repeatedly uses an inverted quote from Karl Marx "What can be, unburdened by what has been"?

Ever hear about the numerical effect of inflation?

Frankly, the US is in as bad a state regarding the people who scam their way up the ladder, as is the rest of the world. I suppose that those really capable of high office want no part of it. Hence the available trash that turns dignity of office into shame.

Eh, no; you would need 234 years, at least here in the US with an annual inflation rate of 3%.

Over the years Trump was given/inherited over $400 million from his father. Had he merely invested that in NY real estate or the S&P 500 and then taken a long nap, he would be worth many times what he is today. So, he is really a failed businessman.

And business sense has nothing to do with fitness for the presidency. But he is unfit in so many ways that are relevant, as he amply demonstrated during his first term and after.

And look at all the things he has said he will do if elected. Scariest perhaps is his promise to make high-level federal appointments based on loyalty to him and not on competence or respect for the constitution.

Lucky Loser review – how Donald Trump squandered his wealth
A forensic accounting of the former president’s business empire reveals a reputation built on myth
https://www.theguardian.com/books/2024/sep/26/lucky-loser-review-how-donald-trump-squandered-his-wealth
Trump started his career at the end of the 1970s, financed by his father Fred Trump. Over the years this transfer of wealth added up to around $500m in today’s money in gifts. My rough calculations say that, had he simply taken the money, leveraged it not imprudently, and passively invested it in Manhattan real estate – gone to parties, womanised, played golf, collected his rent cheques and reinvested them – his fortune could have amounted to more than $80bn by the time he ascended to the presidency in 2017.

And yet Trump was not worth $80bn in 2017. Instead, Forbes pegged him at $2.5bn – which, given the difficulties of valuing and accounting for real estate, is really anything between $5bn (£4bn) and zero (or less). It is in this sense that Pulitzer prize-winning New York Times reporters Russ Buettner and Susanne Craig call Trump a “loser”. He is indeed one of the world’s biggest losers. By trying to run a business, rather than just kicking back and letting the rising tide of his chosen sector lift his wealth beyond the moon, he managed to destroy the vast majority of his potential net worth.

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump might be confused about where he spent the day on Tuesday. The 78-year-old was campaigning in Georgia, a key swing state, and delivered a speech at a rally in Savannah—but just after midnight, he posted a baffling message on Truth Social: “A great day in Louisiana!” A half hour later, he made another post referencing “internal polling” that had him winning Louisiana, a state that is solidly red and not in contest, by his greatest margin ever. This dubious move, which some suggested was just an effort to cover his flub, did little to stop critics from taking aim at Trump’s mental acuity. “Trump appears to have lost a total grasp on things,” a writer for the New Republic wrote. “Donald Trump can’t seem to remember what state he’s even in anymore.” The X account Republicans Against Trump put the same sentiment somewhat more colorfully: “Dementia Don strikes again...”

Frans can decipher this word salad:
Quote
”We had a woman debating. She just talked about, like, the birds and the bees. She didn’t talk about … when you asked a question, there was never an answer. There was never any knowledge. When you saw her the other day, and by the way, when she did the interview previous with the Pennsylvania person who was a nice person, I know him very well, they were the softest questions, she was unable, literally unable to answer the questions. We can’t have that. We cannot have it. We need four strong years, we have to bring our country back.”

I don't know what this is referring to. I can only assume that some Dem said something that you think is Marxist. You're kidding, right.

Simplistic thinking: inflation's effect isn't just tied numerically to a given block of capital under the bed. It affects how that block of capital is allowed to lie in a bank or be invested. I don't expect even Mr T kept it under his bed, beside the pot, but you never know.

If you had paid attention, instead of assuming, you would know that not just some Dem, but Kamala Harris, has spouted the basterdized version of Karl Marx's quote "What can be, unburdened by what has been" on numerous occasions in public. Just get your head out of the sand!

Thank you for again confirming to your readers your strong opinion on a topic you’ve clearly illustrated you know nothing about and no experience with.

Like I said earlier, you can waste your time criticizing what I think if you want, but my opinions on Trump are irrelevant. Not being American, I can't even cancel your vote. I just have a lot of fun pointing out what a nitwit he is. This is in fact a very sad situation that the US finds itself in.

As for his wealth, good for him. My understanding is that his valuation is based mostly on the value of the real estate he owns/controls and I have been given to think that it was his father who accumulated most of that. Once you own land in the right location, it's not a matter of great business acumen to become wealthier. But it might be a measure of his competence that a casino of his went belly-up, but I don't honestly know the financial details of that. I have heard many times that American banks won't lend him any money, ordinarily that's not a good sign.

On that subject, don't you find it just a little bit odd that a real estate billionaire is on TV hawking sneakers, watches and Trump coins? I mean, why bother, can it really be worth his while?

As for Harris's quote, of course I missed it, I don't often watch US news. I do however reiterate my opinion that attributing Marxist ideology to US politicians is delusional and yes maybe even deranged.  The recent revival of anti-communist rhetoric seems like a reach to me. But maybe I am misunderstanding you, maybe you're criticizing government largesse towards the rich, like tax concessions to encourage Amazon expansions, kissing up to pro sports franchises, raising tariffs on less expensive Chinese EV imports to save the butts of manufacturers stuck with unsold vehicles, including wildly expensive fetish trucks. I'm not saying that there aren't things wrong in the US, e.g., your apparent inability to have an adult debate about immigration for one, but whatever problem you're trying to fix, Trump ain't your guy. Isn't that obvious by now.
