You're not going to make friends associating pro-lifers with racists. You should have picked a different analogy.  Yours is insulting.

What a truly idiotic response. Stop trolling, it's insulting.

Your understanding is exceptionally limited, I must say. And therein lies a problem: one cannot explain to the understanding-challenged how they are understanding-challenged because they won't understand you. Catch-22.

And don't call the anti-abortion people "pro-life" - they are anything but.

And this earlier response was even more idiotic. You were deliberately personally insulting to Peter as that was NOT AT ALL what he was saying. His meaning was not difficult to understand. It's simply not possible to assign this to misunderstanding any longer. This is deliberate trolling.

I said the other day that I'd try to find that article or video about the modern day increases in black lung disease in the US. I could not find the video I remembered but came across this article from Kentucky from 2018. There were other links too, but anyone can find those. I'll keep looking for the video, it predates this article by several years, if I remember right.

modern day increases in black lung disease in the US.

Like many stories from Kentucky, it's appalling.

Doctors: "We're finding more instances of black lung disease in our patients' x-rays"
Politicians: (Republican) "We need to de-certify the x-ray credentials of doctors who are finding more instances of black lung disease".

Dear Alan and friends: can you please explain how these retired admirals and generals are Democratic, Trump-hating, and biased? We're waiting.

Are these the same political-minded generals who said in 2016 that Trump wasn't fit to be President? Meanwhile, he went on to win the presidency, and then keep us out of new wars for four years, and defeat ISIS.

Well, as it turned out, they were right. Trump left no doubt whatever that he was unfit for the office on January 6th.

While the United States Capitol was being assaulted and invaded and the Vice President and Congress were fleeing for protection from a violent mob, Trump was completely and unquestionably derelict in fulfilling his duty to protect the nation as commander in chief. He didn't order troops to the Capitol. He sat and watched the assault on TV in the dining room. He took no action to defend the Capitol, but he did take action to encourage and embolden the invaders.

The Capitol was breached at 2:12. The president took action — he tweeted. At 2:24, Trump tweeted "Mike Pence didn't have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution...". This enflamed the mob who felt it was up to them to "protect our Country and our Constitution", "stop the steal", and "save America".

This is what you continue to dismiss, minimize, and defend. It's disgusting.

It is indefensible.

You're doing it again. This has been explained to you before but you keep saying the same false stuff. Trump DID NOT defeat ISIS, most of it was done under Obama and Trump just happened to be president when Obama's strategy came to final fruition.

Much of our success was due to help from the Kurds, largely intelligence. So what does Trump do? Pull out and leave the Kurds at the mercy of the Turks, Taliban, and others.

And this is the commander in chief who, when required to go to Arlington as part of presidental duties, gazed at the rows of graves and asked "What was in it for them?"

Our hero, bone spur boy, who got a fake medical exemption to stay out of the draft.

OK I finally got to read some of what they said on another site that explained the Times article. The NY Tines original article was blocked for me.  The Times seems to have it in for me as well as Trump. ;)

Leaving side the fact that politicains put these generals up to it like they did before the 2016 election, there are a few facts they and the Democrat hearings aren't revealing.

First of all, Congress is responsible for protecting the capitol with the Capitol Police, not the Executive Branch.  The President doesn't control it or man it.  The military is not supposed to get involved with police operations except under special circumstances.

Second, the fact is the DoD run by Trump offered additional troops to Commander Sund of the Capitol Police before the demonstrations and riot to supplement his forces.  He turned them down.  Later, when it started to get worse, he asked one or both of the Sargeant of Arms of the Senate and House run by Democrats who he reports whether he should get more troops.  He (or they) told him to hold off only later agreeing to let him get more troops.

Pelosi fired both Sargeants and the Commander on Jan 7th for incompetence and dereliction of duty.  So now they're twisting it around to make the President derelict.   I'll repeat. The president isn't responsible for the Capitol Police doing their job right.  Why aren't you calling for democrat Speaker Pelosi and Democrat Senate Leader Schumer to be fired for dereliction of duty?  They were in charge?  You realize of course, if there was a trial now, they would have to explain their failure in court under oath.  I doubt if Pelosi or Schumer want to appear in court to explain why they screwed up. Not like the hearings now where it's all one-sided and you're only hearing half the evidence.

In any case, even if you want to blame Trump, OK.  So impeach him again for the third time.  It's not a criminal case.  He was acting as president. Not doing what people think you should do is not criminal.  Many people feel Biden is derelict for not protecting our borders. Should Republicans impeach Biden next year for dereliction when they take over congress?  Be careful what you hope for now.  The pendulum swings both ways.

So Congress has to impeach and try him.  Other than that, the public could throw him out of the office and deny him a second term through the ballot box, which is what they did.  So he's been punished. In any case, I don't see a criminal charge because constitutionally, the House of Representatives is responsible for deciding if a president committed a high crime or misdemeanor, not an Attorney General (AJ), Federal prosecutor, grand jury or trial jury in a Federal court.  The AJ won't charge him for these reasons.  If he does, the Supreme Court will throw out the charges or any conviction.   The AJ has no authroity against a Pressident. Only Congress does.  Didn't we all learn that at the end of the Mueller investigation when Mueller and the AJ sent Mueller's report to Congress and told them it's up to them to handle the case, imposing an impeachment if they decided, not the Attorney General.

It's all politics and the upcoming election.  Democrats are just hoping Trump will save their hides again.

Really? Who was it that "put these generals up to it"? These are former military leaders, how were they "put...up to it"?

We disagree about ISIS but I don't want to get off track discussing it.  Let's stick with Jan 6th issue.

After all the revelations of Trump's actions and behaviours from the hearings, you're still spinning for him? I have no words.

First of all, Congress is responsible for protecting the capitol with the Capitol Police, not the Executive Branch.  The President doesn't control it or man it.  The military is not supposed to get involved with police operations except under special circumstances.

Bullshit. The Capitol Police are able to deal with the day to day ordinary enforcement needs of the Capitol. They are not expected to withstand an assault and invasion by a violent mob of insurrectionists.

Police are not always adequate to respond to extraordinary events. That's why states have National guard troops. That's why there is a District of Columbia National Guard. If a state had to put down an insurrection or protect their capitol, the governor would call up their state National Guard. In Washington D.C., the president commands the guard.

I would expect that any rational person would consider an invasion of the seat of government, the Capitol of the United States, to fall under the category of "except under special circumstances" requiring the military to respond.

The president failed to uphold his oath and his most fundamental duty of protecting and defending the nation on January 6th. It is indefensible and trying to defend it is a disgrace.

Attorney General (AJ)... The AJ won't charge ... the AJ sent

You've done this in other posts. Attorney General is abbreviated AG. Attorney = A. General = G. Attorney General = AG.
