Your response and the quote therein has nothing to do with my post. Of course, that is to be expected.
It exactly responds to your post.

It exactly responds to your post.

I beg to differ.

I remember that they were also saying that the general public doesn't have to worry about it too much.

They? You mean Donald Trump? If you remember that anyone other than Donald Trump or one of his quislings said "the general public doesn't have to worry about it too much", you are misremembering.

Here's what Trump said on Mar 31, 2020 a year ago before the CDC, Dr. Birx and others proposed the same thing. Apparently, my memory is better than yours.  That's because the biased anti Trump press has been lying to you for so long and you wanted to buy into it

And Tuesday, President Trump weighed in suggesting people may want to wear scarves. "I would say do it," he said, noting that masks are needed for health care workers. "You can use scarves, you can use something else," he said.

The senator made the point a couple of times and Fauci sidestepped his answer each time until trotting out the variant defence.  I think he knows well that the senator is correct.  People are not getting Covid once they have been vaccinated and there's no evidence they can spread it either.  He doesn't want to say it because then he would have to take a position that the mask isn't needed for Covid 19 if you're vaccinated.  That would upset his boss Biden's political position. That's what's really going on here.

You have really jumped the shark, Alan.  What conceivable political motive can there be for advocating wearing a mask?  ReallY What on Earth are you talking about?

As for Paul's question - there have not been that many vaccinated (2 doses) people until very recently, so it's a bit early to be demanding reviewed and published studies to demonstrate one way or the other. It's not a "defence" to bring up the issue of variants; it's a matter of explaining the issues to very dense people. It's a familair situation to us here on this forum.

Hussein Obama

Thank you for this. It is a quick way of identifying that you have nothing of any value whatsoever to say, and I don't need to waste time looking for wisdom in your illiterate mumblings.

Jeremy, You're too far away to see it from Great Britain.  But everyone in the US knows the mask is a symbol of which party and belief system you work in. It's a prop, a tattoo to show which tribe you belong to.

I guess Alan must be the sole exception to this in the United States. He is a Trump supporter and wears a mask.

Jeremy, don't believe this for a minute. This is just Alan's view from somewhere in New Jersey, or perhaps an alternate reality.

You've been wearing a mask. Which tribe, party, and belief system do you work in and belong to?

Why stop there? Why not drive without seat belts? Why not cross the road without checking?  There's loads of things to show what a rugged individualist you are!

I like to think I'm an individualist.  But I wear the mask.  I'm 76 and not stupid.

Speaking of Biden lies, the one he stated about a transparent administration, come this story of him trying to hide the jails he's created for all those children coming across the border and blocking reporters from getting the inside story.  Hypocrisy anyone?

Biden Admin Restricts Border Patrol Contact with Media during Migrant Surge
The unofficial gag order comes as media outlets have requested pictures from inside Border Patrol detention facilities, where over 4,200 migrant children are currently being held while waiting to be transferred to other shelters. So far, outlets have not received footage from inside detention centers.

But this Effect is only operable on people on the left, Democrats and Biden fans, not for the rest of us. But we already knew that.  :)

Four more members of the Proud Boys, the militia that Trump told to "stand back and stand by", were indicted on conspiracy and other charges arising out of the January 6th Capitol riot.

Have they released a full report of what happened for the benefit of their families?  :)
