Where'd everybody go?  Jeez, even Alan's gone.

Perhaps some of the usual suspects became bored. How many times can you parrot the same worn out Trump lies and talking points—or listen to them for that matter—before becoming bored of the endless loop?

Or... the ones that hinted that the fraudulent claims of election fraud might have merit, may have finally realized that the election is over.

Donald Trump: If COVID-19 Kills Another 1.8 Million People in the U.S. We Won’t Even Need a Vaccine
The president said Tuesday it’s “terrific” we’re 15% of the way to herd immunity.

Trump claimed that before he came on the scene, practically no vaccines had ever been created, telling the group assembled: “Before Operation Warp Speed, the typical timeframe for development and approval, as you know, could be infinity.”

There is nothing decisive about the popular vote; it decides nothing, one way or the other.

Other than to show that Biden is much more popular that Chetos.

And guaranteed that Chetos cares about such things as he made a big lie about the crowd during his ingratiation.

Then what does, pray tell? The electoral vote? You may not have noticed, but electors are chosen by popular vote in every state.

Are you aware that words can have more than one meaning? Decisive does not necessarily mean deciding or determinative. Decisive can mean: clear, unmistakable, unquestionable, without doubt or question.

Step up your game man!

I have no expertise in vaccine development...but it seems like the Covid-19 vaccine has been developed from many different labs in this "warp speed" timeframe. Both China and Russia have already started to administer their vaccines to people...so Trump claiming he's the one that made this happen in warp speed time is full of bullshit. Other labs and countries have created vaccines in the same timeframe.

The default position you need to take is that anything Trump says is not true. Look elsewhere for the truth of the matter.

Perhaps defending Trumpism became too embarrassing, even for his most fervent advocates here.  Maybe I’m optimistic, but I’m of the opinion that most of the American citizens we engage with here do truly care about their/our country and it’s core principles - it simply took outright seditious behavior to break through.

Or alternatively, maybe they’re out arming up to make a run at the governor of Michigan.

The effect of Thanksgiving holiday in US pushes the infections and deaths faster than expected - over 200,000 cases and almost 3,000 deaths. At this rate, the number of dead will reach 300,000 by this weekend, 400,000 by end of January, and half a million in March.

Good thing Trump came up finally with the vaccine, he's been rounding the corner for a while now.

I'm not sure "embarrassing" is the correct term. I'd choose "self-incriminating"

I guess they could always plead the fifth, but no.  Instead, they've just disappeared back into the woodwork.  All of 'em.

Figures.

Incidentally, the SCOTUS' decision against overturning election returns was presented in a single sentence.  There was no dissent.

I figured they changed their minds and agree with us now but are too shy to admit it.

One thing keeps occurring to me about Trump and his antics following the election:

He's even a loser at losing.  :)

Right?!?!

Indeed. It's telling that the Trumplets here have hidden away. It is a sign of maturity and intelligence to admit error in the face of evidence. That's how progress is made, it's how people learn things. It's how I went from a flaming leftie to a left-of-center moderate. But to refuse to admit error even in the face of overwhelming evidence, that's just plain stupidity. But there's no shortage of that, is there?

”I only hire the best people” D.J.Trump

Donald Trump's Newest Lawyer Is a Kamala Harris Birther
John Eastman is listed as the attorney repping the president on the latest suit seeking to overturn the results of the 2020 elections.
In the op-ed, Eastman claimed that the Democratic senator wasn’t a natural born citizen, even though she was clearly born in Oakland, California, because she was born to non permanent residents of the country: an Indian mother and a Jamaican father. He extended that line of reasoning to argue that she lacked the eligibility to run for vice president of the United States.

And:
President Donald Trump asked the Supreme Court on Wednesday to block millions of votes from four battleground states that voted for President-elect Joe Biden.

A beautiful demonstration of how the Trump team is trying to break the law to proof their imaginary claims of election frauds.

These republicans have no respect for the constitution whatsoever.

Cheers,
Bernard

It is a sign of maturity and intelligence to admit error in the face of evidence.

Then I must be both.  For nearly two years I termed him "unelectable". Until, alone in a leaky campervan one horrid, cold and rainy night in Methven, NZ, I read on my iPad the astounding truth.

I can't recall being more wrong about anything.

More of the same.

I hate to say it... but I told you...

Whether he succeeds or not it another thing, but these recent actions cement beyond any possible doubt the fact that Trump is a dictator in the making... and that the Republican party is supportive.

He doesn't care the least bit about the will of American people, the American constitution... all he cares about is staying in power.

Cheers,
Bernard

I'm reading this with my own eyes and am having trouble believing it's really happening, https://www.huffingtonpost.ca/entry/washington-post-trump-danger-election_n_5fd1946dc5b68256b1125138. A national newspaper in the US in 2020 has to plead with a political party to not incite violence. Who could have predicted this. And all of it is because of magical thinking, there are no actual real underlying problems here, it was an election, someone lost, someone won, it has happened many times before, but somehow large numbers of people have worked themselves up into an utterly pointless and unnecessary frenzy. Biden is not a socialist, Trump is not the libertarian/religious messiah. Most of the discussion is based on emotional bullsh*t. In the big picture, we're talking about relatively minor variations in policy, virtue signalling of the most infantile kind with Trump encouraging a ramp-up of executions and retention of Confederate names as if anyone believes he actually cares about those things. The country needs to give its head a shake, and all of this trouble was self-inflicted for no reason or purpose.
