Typos indeed create an unfavourable impression, but the real interesting question is if the pleadings contained any concrete evidence of voter fraud and vote switching or were they just the same speculations we heard before.

The Complaint is 100 pages long. I haven't finished reading it.

Yes, I think it's a good idea too. Canada's high tech industry is supported by immigrants from the rest of the world, I don't see anything wrong doing the same with the health care system.

It's just Slobo's view is the Cuban government purposely is training their people with these skills so they can be used like a commodity...which is just horseshit.

Cuba believes in free education and free health...two basic necessities of life. Many other places like the USA have no such beliefs and your wealth very much influences your educations and health.
What good is being able to read if you can't read what you want?  And if you do, government goons break your legs.  Well, at least you'll get free medical care.

I seem to have lost the thread. Why are we discussing Cuban doctors and Cuban citizens' access to reading material?

This is a catch-all political thread. Apparently Cuban reading material is a political question and one that focuses on Covid health as doctors are required to cure it and we may need Cuba to send their doctors to America to assist Democrats but not Republicans who will hire their own doctors and buy their own reading materials once they learn how to read.  Very straight forward issue.

Really Alan, have you been there and experienced anything about Cuba other than the propoganda fed to you by your government?

All those Cuban expatriates in Florida aren't there for the weather.

Because their ex-leader and the current USA leader had quite a few things in common, They both were loud and colourful, engaged in extramarital sex and lied through their teeth.

The current president never engaged in extramarital affairs while in office unlike democrat Presidents Kennedy and Clinton who also lied about.  In fact, Clinton lost his law license because he perjured himself.    Also, Trump never smoked, especially cigars and wouldn't be caught dead in green fatigues.

We have a hell of a lot of American expats here in Canada...and I can guarantee you they are not here for the weather. What's your point.

These last 4 years Canada has seen more inquires from American's regarding moving to Canada than any other time...I wonder what was so special these past 4 years.

And with respect to Trump, you know this how?

Maybe he just liked dressing in commando style. But Castro never dyed his hair like Trump or Giuliani.

I'd just like to point out, again, that many of these issues being discussed, of who should get the vaccine first, what percentage actually get sick, what percentage die, herd immunity, how vaccines work, etc. are all addressed at length in that Joe Rogan podcast interview with Nicholas A. Christakis and also in greater detail his latest book on the subject, Apollo's Arrow. Why not get the info first hand from someone whose job it is to study these things. I don't ask Jane Fonda's advice about nuclear reactors.

The recent side trip down Cuban cold war propaganda was fun, btw. The American obsession with Cuba never ceases to amaze me. It's not 1962 anymore, guys, the world has changed a lot. Try to catch up. The third world isn't the third world anymore either.

Also, I see that the American political obsession with sex made an appearance too. I wonder if Trump will ever be invited to be the keynote speaker at a purity ball, given all the support he has on the religious right.

Have a good weekend wherever you are everyone. Don't party with strangers.

Why didn't they go to Cuba.  For the weather, of course.

But it still is 1962. In Cuba.  Have you seen their cars?  The dictatorship is the same.  Nothing's changed.  Just because it's 2020, doesn't make things in Cuba OK.  Of course, most Americans really don't think about it now that the USSR is gone.  But there are still people there who live under a vile dictatorship without freedom.  We shouldn't forget that.

So face masks might not be effective.

Face masks cut disease spread in the lab, but have less impact in the community. We need to know why
The most rigorous, but difficult, way to evaluate the effectiveness of masks is to take a large group of people and ask some to wear masks and others not to, in a so-called controlled trial. We found nine such trials have been carried out for influenza-like illness. Surprisingly, when combined, these trials found only a 1% reduction in influenza-like illness among mask-wearers compared with non-mask-wearers, and a 9% reduction in laboratory-confirmed influenza. These small reductions are not statistically significant, and are most likely due to chance.

More rubbish. Not might; rubbish. You can’t even connect the dots between less impact and some impact.
