Jenna Ellis, senior legal advisor to the Trump Campaign, has just tweeted a statement dated today to the effect that Sidney Powell is practicing law on her own, and is not a member of the Trump legal team or an attorney for Trump personally. Of course, Sidney Powell was a member of the "elite strike force" legal team until an hour ago. She is the lawyer promoting an international voter fraud conspiracy theory, which includes Venezuela, China, Cuba, George Soros, and a server in Germany guarded by the military. Nothing on Rudy Giuliani's or Sidney Powell's Twitter feed. Who knows what that is all about.

It looks like maybe she doesn't have any evidence. Wouldn't that be a surprise?

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/trump-legal-team-shuns-sidney-powell-as-insiders-and-national-security-officials-see-no-evidence-supporting-her-voting-machine-claims

Update

Sidney Powell responds:

"I understand today's press release," she said. "I will continue to represent #WeThePeople who had their votes for Trump and other Republicans stolen by massive fraud through Dominion and Smartmatic, and we will be filing suit soon. The chips will fall where they may, and we will defend the foundations of this great Republic. #KrakenOnSteroids"

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/sidney-powell-trump-legal-team-disavows-association/

Followed by the statement:

"I agree with the campaign's statement that I am not part of the campaign's legal team. I never signed a retainer agreement or sent the President or the campaign a bill for my expenses or fees. My intent has always been to expose all the fraud I could find and let the chips fall where they may–whether it be upon Republicans or Democrats."

"The evidence I'm compiling is overwhelming that this software tool was used to shift millions of votes from President Trump and other Republican candidates to Biden and other Democrat candidates. We are proceeding to prepare our lawsuit and plan to file it this week. It will be epic. We will not allow this great Republic to be stolen by communists from without and within or our votes altered or manipulated by foreign actors."

http://www.tathasta.com/2020/11/sidney-powell-responds-after-trump.html

Not sure who she is going to file the lawsuit on behalf of. You need someone to be the plaintiff. That doesn't include the Kraken.

Another brilliant performance from Jenna Ellis, a member of Team Trump's "elite strike force" of lawyers:

Trump Lawyer Appears on Fox Touting ‘Promising’ Case in Pennsylvania After It’s Thrown Out by Judge

https://www.thedailybeast.com/trump-lawyer-jenna-ellis-appears-on-fox-touting-promising-case-in-pennsylvania-after-its-tossed-by-judge

I wonder why good folks continue to look at the smoke screen (the claims that the Presidential election was impacted by frauds) instead of investigating the Senate elections and possible frauds by Republicans to alter its results in their favor?

The Senate elections were far more important considering the composition of the Supreme Court.

It really smells like a deal with the Democrats by which Republicans agreed to get rid of Trump against the continued control of the Senate. I wonder what role the will of Americans people play here... it very much feels like the answer is none.

Cheers,
Bernard

Perhaps you could walk us through your theory on exactly how the votes were altered.

Meanwhile, in the UK, scholars have announced that Henry VIII had a seventh wife all lined up, but died before the marriage could take place.

I don’t know how and if they were.

I am saying I find incredible that Democrats are not looking into this matter.

Trump has shown us with great consistency that he typically accuses others of what he is doing. This should be enough indication that something fishy may have happened with what Republicans won, meaning the Senate.

One possible explanation for their passivity is a deal behind closed doors.

Bernard

Your theory #2 is that Trump stole the Senate election for Republicans, selflessly sacrificing himself in the process.

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy was out having dinner with his family - no idea why he thought that was a good idea either medically or politically - and was loudly heckled by some other customers due to a new round of COVID restrictions. The conversation went something like this:

"The governor — who recently introduced new restrictions in the Garden State in the run-up to Thanksgiving — initially laughed off the hecklers and went back to his meal."

"One of his sons, however, clapped back by suggesting the hecklers were “a little too drunk” and asking them to put on masks."

“‘You can go f–k yourself, how’s that?” one of the women snapped."

“I don’t need a f–king mask. You know why I don’t need a mask? Because there ain’t nothing f–king wrong with me,” she said."

"By the end of the clip, Murphy had put on a mask as the women repeatedly told his family to “get the f–k outta here.”

"The hecklers also did not specify exactly what angered them about Murphy, who was following his own safety guidelines by dining outside and in a group of fewer than 10 family members."

What can I say? Freedom of speech and all that. I'll refrain from making a sweeping generalization about the intellect of Trump supporters. Let's just say I don't think the woman in question is a one-off.

Seems to me the better course of action is just to go about your business, masked or maskless as you deem appropriate. At least nobody got shot.

The public behaviour of peopel, even when sober, often leaves a lot to be desired. Anyone who has worked in food service can probably tell you all kinds of stories.

Former Republican officials call Trump refusal ‘serious threat’
More than 100 former Republican national security officials want Trump to ‘cease’ his ‘assault’ on the integrity of the election.
https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2020/11/23/republican-national-security-officials-demand-trump-concede

“President Trump’s continued efforts to cast doubt on the validity of the election and to interfere in state electoral processes undermine our democracy and risk long-term damage to our institutions,” the group says in a written statement.

At least this important group of Republicans is not silent and are aware of the risks that are at stake.

Trump and his Republican enablers in the Senate and House of Representatives are not going to pay the slightest bit of attention to these 100 former Republican national security officials. So while it looks good, and I am glad the former officials sent the letter, it will have no effect on Trump's conduct. Trump is not motivated by shame. Neither are his supporters, in Congress and out.

Trump lost a case in Federal District Court in Pennsylvania on Saturday, and lost another one in the Pennsylvania Supreme Court today.

"The Pennsylvania Supreme Court on Monday dealt President Donald Trump’s campaign yet another legal loss, ruling that mail-in ballots cast in the state’s presidential election can be counted even if a voter failed to completely fill out the envelope."

What would the nature of this deal be? What are the Democrats getting out of it? What are the Republicans getting out of it?

How could the Republicans and the Democrats in the senate affect the votes of the citizens in the 50 states?

1. The matter is the fact that Republicans haven’t lost the Senate as they might have
2. The deal is a Democrat President and a Republican senate. The Democrats would be certain that Trump is out while the Republicans would keep legislative control. It’s a « let’s clean up the Trump mess first » deal.

The deal would of course not have taken place in the Senate. It would be about letting fraud unfold without investigating it. You’ll have to agree with me that no Democrat officials have challenged the Republican victory in the Senate. At least that part is factual.

Cheers,
Bernard

Nice try. Yes, the certification dates have passed in 7 states, but no word about if certification took actually place in those 7 states yet.
Michigan's state board certifies Biden's win.

The Michigan State Board of Canvassers voted Monday to certify the state's election results, formally granting President-elect Joe Biden the state's 16 electoral votes.

The certification all but erases President Donald Trump's pathway to try to overturn the election results through legal challenges that have been dismissed in key states.

1. The matter is the fact that Republicans haven’t lost the Senate as they might have

And the only way this could have occurred is by fraud? Do you have any evidence of such fraud?

2. The deal is a Democrat President and a Republican senate. The Democrats would be certain that Trump is out while the Republicans would keep legislative control. It’s a « let’s clean up the Trump mess first » deal.

Who would be parties to this deal?

The deal would of course not have taken place in the Senate. It would be about letting fraud unfold without investigating it.

Who would have conducted this fraud?

You’ll have to agree with me that no Democrat officials have challenged the Republican victory in the Senate. At least that part is factual.

Except in Georgia, the votes for senators were not close and there was no evidence of any voter fraud. The two senate seats in Georgia will be decided in a run-off on January 5th.  If the two Democrats win, the Senate will be 50-50, and Vice President Harris will cast the deciding vote in favor of the Democrats. The Democrats will have control of the Senate.

Your theory #2 is that Trump stole the Senate election for Republicans, selflessly sacrificing himself in the process.

Many things are possible but I don’t remember writing about Trump selflessly sacrificing himself. That’s your addition to what I proposed.

Trump could either be fully, partially or not involved at all. There are plausible explanations supporting each of these scenarios.

The question being what Trump would get in such a deal. One possible answer being the absence of legal issues/jail time for what he did and didn’t do.

Cheers,
Bernard

Let’s rediscuss this after Jan 5. If the 2 Democrats win then this conspiracy theory will have been proven false.

No, this conspiracy theory isn’t the only possibility explanation of a Republican victory in the Senate, but it’s a possible one.

I don’t know who would have conducted this fraud. The same people Trump is saying conducted the fraud on the Presidential election is a possibility? No close calls isn’t relevant if you consider the possibility of a massive fraud.

No fraud has been found:
- in the States where the Republicans requested additional scrutinity
- only about the Presidential votes. I have seen no report of investigation of the Senate results

Bernard

Let’s rediscuss this after Jan 5. If the 2 Democrats win then this conspiracy theory will have been proven false.

Or the conspiracy could have just been unsuccessful. That's one you may want to offer up if the two Democrats win in Georgia.

No, this conspiracy theory isn’t the only possibility explanation of a Republican victory in the Senate, but it’s a possible one.

The aliens could have cut a deal with Biden and could have used their vote changer rays guns on Trump voters. That's possible.

No fraud has been found:
- in the States where the Republicans requested additional scrutinity
- only about the Presidential votes. I have seen no report of investigation of the Senate results

In addition, no fraud has been found:

- in states where the Republicans did not request additional scrutiny
- in states where the Democrats requested additional scrutiny
- in states where the Democrats did not request additional scrutiny
- in states where both the Republicans and the Democrats requested additional scrutiny
- in states where neither the Republicans nor the Democrats requested additional scrutiny

Query: what do you mean by "additional scrutiny"? Example?

- Nobody conducted any investigation of the senate results because there was no evidence of any fraud to investigate

You do realize that votes for president, senator and everyone else, including dog catcher, are all on one ballot, you know one piece of paper?

It's all a bunch of nonsense. You can't even articulate who the parties to the conspiracy are or how the conspiracy could be implemented.

Are you a follower of QAnon by any chance?

Sorry I forgot to answer this part. The 2 parties would be the leaders of the Democrat and Republican parties. No, I don’t have names and their birth certificates.

Not knowing how it would have been done doesn’t reduce the likelihood of this being real, does it?

Bernard
