The only thing unsettled about the election is what shape our democracy will be in after the assault on it by Trump and his sycophants is exhausted.

It appears the “free and fair election” thing continues to remain unsettled at this moment.

It doesn’t, really. Only in the addled mind of Sidney Powell and other sycophants.  Every time evidence is required they get laughed out of court, and in fact, if you look at their pleading under oath, they keep admitting that they have nothing.

Bottom line - it’s no more unsettled than Flat Earth theory.  Just because some 🤡 insists it’s true doesn’t mean it’s a valid point of view.  Trump needs to put on his big boy pants and start transitioning like a grownup.  He’s a pathetic embarrassment.

It’s possible you are correct, just as it’s possible you are completely wrong.  Time will tell James.  Why not just wait and see what comes.

Craig,

The Democrats are really naive not to dig in the most suspicious aspect of this election which is the Senate results. If fraud there was it’s there and it was perpetrated by the Republicans.

But the Republicans have been doing a remarkable job at confirming that the President vote was free of any significant issues. Which is great because it’s going to remove any doubt that Biden isn’t the actual President of all Americans. And more so than any other President in the history of the country since nobody ever got as many votes.

Trump is committing a major mistake with all the law suites though because he is factually demonstrating that his claims are void of any content. He should have just kept complaining without any law suite. Blind supporters would just have blindly believed him, which they seem to be great at.

Cheers,
Bernard

I get that that sounds reasonable to you, but how much time?  What amount of time has to pass before you are satisfied?  How many times do Trump's people have to be kicked out of court for lack of evidence before we can trust that there's nothing there?  At what point does "we can't find any evidence" become good enough to accept that the guy that got 7,000,000 more votes won the election?

Yeh...it's hilarious watching as the jokers make fools of themselves. If they had anything...why not lead with what you got rather than a bunch of gibberish. They have zilch.

Bush and Gore got 37 days.

I’m not really watching the lower courts as ultimately it will likely be SCOTUS doing the deciding and when that’s over and the new President is voted in by the Congress it’s over.

It’s nut cutting time.  Either they have the goods for the end game or they don’t.  We shall see.

TV News Alert: Donald Trump, Jr. has tested positive for COVID.

No big problem. His dad said that it's less lethal than flu.

Quote
The morning after returning to the White House from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center where he was being treated for Covid-19, Trump claimed that the coronavirus is far less lethal than the seasonal flu.

Jenna Ellis is another female attorney on Team Trump... She too is an author, but I think she just authors articles for Fox News and the Washington Examiner. That is the right wing media outlet owned by the Moonies.

Just one small correction to all that you wrote regarding Trump's "elite team" of lawyers, who are definitely not the A Team but the F Troop.

The Washington Times is the DC conservative newspaper owned by the Sun Myung Moon worshipping cult.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Washington_Times

The Washington Examiner, for whom Jenna Ellis is a contributor, is the other DC conservative newspaper. It's owned by conservative billionaire Philip Anschutz.

Here's part of the editorial from the Washington Examiner today...

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/editorials/its-time-for-trump-to-concede-and-move-on

But although fair-minded people know there are legitimate procedures for litigation, and that these should be allowed to play out, there is also wisdom in the phrase, “put up or shut up.” If you are going to mount legal challenges and allege on national television that there has been massive and systematic election fraud, you had better provide evidence in addition to assertion. Trump’s legal team has not done that.

When more than 150 million voters participate in an election in 50 states that, in our federal system, decide their own rules for balloting and vote counting, there are bound to be irregularities and mistakes, even if there isn’t fraud. And, contrary to what Democrats repeatedly say, there have been plenty of well-documented cases of fraud in elections over the years. Doubtless, there was some of it this year, too.

But not remotely enough to change the result. The vast spread of American democracy, which makes error and malfeasance inevitable, also makes it plain that neither of these regrettable concomitants of mass voting robbed Trump of victory. No fraud or error produced tens of thousands of additional votes for Biden in battleground states.

The attention Trump has drawn to our flawed election system, which needs reform, has merit. But only up to a certain point, and that point has been reached and passed. The president’s legal team increasingly looks as though it is flinging mud to see what sticks, rather than pursuing a coherent course of litigation. Trump campaign lawyer Sidney Powell asserted, "What we are really dealing with here, and uncovering more by the day, is the massive influence of communist money through Venezuela, Cuba, and likely China in the interference in our elections here in the United States." She claimed that voting systems used in the U.S. "were created in Venezuela at the direction of Hugo Chavez to make sure he never lost an election," and that Trump actually won more than 80 million votes, meaning 7 million Trump votes were switched to Biden. If voting machines were switching that many votes, they would have been uncovered in the Georgia hand-count.

At this point, Trump's efforts are more likely to damage the Republican Party, and more specifically, undermine its chances of winning the Jan. 5 runoff elections in Georgia for the two Senate seats that remain undecided. GOP control of the Senate rests on those races; the party must win at least one of them to retain its majority. And that majority is all that stands in the way of a Congress dramatically more capable of passing damaging and extreme left-wing legislation after Jan. 20.

Beyond these political concerns, an extended refusal to concede will do damage to the country. The longer he digs in, the more Trump will undermine faith in our elections and make it harder to unify as a country. In more practical terms, Trump is not cooperating with Biden's transition team, a crucial part of making sure that the executive branch runs smoothly as it is handed off from one administration to the next.

If Trump wishes people to believe he has the good of the country and the legitimacy of its elections in mind, the president should concede that he lost and should do all he can to help his party win the two Senate battles in which it is still engaged.

Wait, you said you were no longer going to read my posts?  Was that an un-truth?

Actually I can selectively look at your posts. When you post sporadically, you are more reasonable...when you are on fire posting every other minute...then you are just being stupid. The beauty is I have the power when I look at your post or when I just ignore it.

For those interested in the Georgia hand recount details with a breakdown by county, see the link below.

https://sos.ga.gov/admin/uploads/county-summary-data.pdf

The total change in raw vote count was 0.1053%. Trump increased his vote share by +0.0099% (+496 votes out of 4,995,323 Total Votes Cast).

The largest raw vote error — of 2,464 previously uncounted votes — was in Floyd County due to a memory card that had not been processed in the original count. Floyd County was overwhelmingly Republican with Trump winning 70% to Biden's 29%. However, the total from the previously uncounted memory card had +92 more votes for Biden than Trump. Floyd is a small county with just 41,052 total votes after the addition of the 2,464 votes on the previously uncounted memory card. The missing memory card represented 6.4% of the total vote for the County, but only marginally increased Biden's percentage there by +0.238%.

A case of Republican fraud in Floyd County trying to hide a memory card that had more votes for Biden than Trump? Extremely unlikely. It was most likely the unintentional mistake of a tired human being which didn't have any effect on the winner in either the county or the state.

The next largest raw vote error — of 1,642 previously uncounted votes — was in Gwinnett County and also due to a memory card that had not been processed in the original count. This time the error favored Trump who gained +285 votes over Biden. Gwinnett is a large Democratic county which had 415,507 total votes after the addition of the votes from the memory card that was missed in their original tally. The missing votes netted Trump a much smaller percentage County gain of +0.069% compared to Biden's in Floyd and represented a total of 0.397% of the total vote there. Again, it had no effect on who won the county or the state.

These are among the kinds of "irregularities" that are found occasionally during recounts and audits, but which rarely alter the outcome of elections unless they are extremely close.
