Politicians shouldn't be threatening jail time to their opposition, including those out of office like Gingrich.  Unfortunately, Democrats have been threatening jail time against Trump and his kids and associates for six years.  Why aren't you upset about those threats?

And it's essential to remember that many cases are not "fraud" but just errors. If a woman mistakenly thinks she can cast a vote for her just-deceased mother, that is not fraud. If a green card holder mistakenly thinks he can vote, that is not fraud. But if a GOP congressional candidate hires an operative to "finagle" absentee ballots, that is fraud. Or a Dem candidate, but I have not heard about that.

This fraud by democratic candidates occurred two years ago just a few miles from where I live in NJ. 24% of the mail-in vote was estimated to be fraudulent.  If Democrats get their way, many of the processes that were illegal will no longer be fraudulent and these things will occur without notice or violation.  Frankly, the only reason this one got caught is that the crooks were stupid.  Instead of dropping the mail-in ballots individually into the mailbox, they tied them all together.  So the mail carrier picking up the mail realized something was wrong and reported it to the Post Office Inspectors and they were caught.

Frankly, the big issue with fraud is in local elections where a few votes, either way, can win the election.  It's in these small elections that fraud is very easy to do and influences outcomes.  Everyone's focusing on national elections for president.  But it's the ones for Counselman, sheriffs, mayors, and state representatives from local districts where the crooks come out of the woodwork.  These laws are absolutely required to prevent this kind of nonsense that goes on.

Judge invalidates Paterson, NJ, city council election after allegations of mail-in voter fraud
"The Attorney General has charged four individuals in Paterson, NJ—including one sitting city council member and one candidate for city council who nominally won his race—on charges arising from a scheme to collect and illegally mail in hundreds of absentee ballots in that election. That scheme led to a crisis in Paterson, requiring that the city hold another election between the indicted candidate and his opponent because it is impossible to determine just how many fraudulent ballots were cast," the Trump campaign and Republican Party wrote challenging New Jersey leaders."

Because the Trump organization has been accused of breaking the law many, many times.  Including fomenting subversion of America's most treasured resource: Democracy.

The January 6 commission are investigating lawbreaking, not breaking it.

More evidence Alan doesn't read (or understand) the data he provides. Case in point from the above:
Quote
"It was a local election in Paterson. Some guys tried to screw with the system," Murphy said on MSNBC Thursday. "I view it as a really positive data point. They got caught."
Just like those Florida Republicans that got caught in the 2020 presidental election!
Quote
3 Residents of The Villages in Florida Are Accused of Voting Fraud
All were residents of the famed, sprawling retirement community northwest of Orlando. Two were Republicans, and one had no affiliation.
And Alan wonders why he isn't taken seriously!

The Democrats and people here who support them aren't partisan?  Oh puleeze.

The problem for Democrats is that only Democrats care about Trump anymore.  The people who count, independents and some middle-of-the-road democrats, have moved on.  They're concerned with the economy, inflation, taxes, jobs, the price of gasoline, crime, war and peace, school curriculum, etc.  They're not stuck on Trump as many here are.  Democrat McAuliffe who lost and was favored to win big for Governor in Virginia kept using Trump's name figuring he'd win just doing that as happened before.  He was very wrong.  People no longer care and Republican Youngkin won.  A forewarning to Democrats, advice many aren't taking.

If only he could find another forum of his cult members.
Even those who can make photographers. Or not.... ;)
Meanwhile, he's back to his old habbits of speaking for others and making gross generalization about them in a failed attempt to justify his cult membership. Doesn't work, only he doesn't understand that.

And getting back to the cult of blaming Biden for everything, especially the price of those Big Mac's and coke, it probably isn't much consolation for Alan struggling with the blame game here:

With prices rising all over world, leaders see no quick fix
By David J. Lynch Washington Post
Quote
It probably isn't much consolation for Americans struggling with the highest inflation in 40 years, but they are not alone.
In the European Union, prices are rising faster than at any time since the euro currency was introduced. The annual inflation rate in the United Kingdom hit 5.4 percent in December, the highest figure in nearly 30 years. Canada's consumer prices are rising twice as fast as before the pandemic.

"Part of what we're seeing in the U.S. is very similar to, and echoed in, the rest of the world," said Nathan Sheets, global chief economist for Citigroup.
All of what Alan is seeing in the U.S. is Biden's fault even if it means less Big Mac's ingested.

The food prices are rising and the stock prices are dropping. Nowhere to hide.
The Fed caused the prices of stocks and food to rise because of inflation and too low-interest rates.  If the Fed raises rates and stops printing, then the economy could go into a recession; the stock and real estate markets will drop significantly.  The Fed may get scared again like they did in 2018 when they raise rates and the market dropped and cause a near recession.  They reversed themselves and started to lower rates again.  They may reverse themselves again this time.  EIther they're going to cause a recession or inflation will continue, maybe both - stagflation like in the 1970s.

Regardless, Biden will get blamed, and rightly so.  He renominated Powell to serve for another four years.  So the president is responsible and will get blamed or credited as the case may be.  Frankly, I don't see the Fed coming up with a solution.  They're really stuck between a rock and a hard spot.  Damned if they do and damned if they don't.

"Rightly so" if you're a fact-blind, unconscionably partisan, willfully ignorant, damn-the-nation, power-seeking-at-all-costs Republican, yes.

There are tens of millions of Alans out there. That's the scary part.

You can and should substitute foolish with fact-blind, unconscionably partisan, willfully ignorant, damn-the-nation, power-seeking-at-all-costs (of any party) to this.
Here at LuLa, all we have to deal with is mostly Alan. Scary and time consuming indeed.  ;) Regardless, Alan will get blamed, and rightly so.

Why shouldn't he get blamed?  He rehired Powell.

Your (entitled) opinion, but otherwise, absolute horse poo.

Did the Fed snarl up the supply chains, causing shortages?
Did the Fed recently increase the world price of oil?
Did the Fed recently change interest rates, driving inflation?

I'll save you, Alan from non-answering these questions. The answer to all of those questions is NO.

I don't know much about the qualifications of the three Federal Reserve officials, but hopefully he has better performance data on them than on the leader of the automotive electrification, CEO Mary Barra of GM.

Perhaps but my point is, once again, Alan is jerking his knee and posting rubbish about "Biden rehired Powell"  and of course, it doesn't work that way. The qualifications of the officals will be under discussion as part of the confirmation process.

Only the Fed can expand the money supply.  That causes a devaluation of the currency and costs of things to rise if production doesn't expand comparatively, which it didn't.  In fact, due to Covid, production went down making it worse as the government shut down the economy.

If the congress and president didn't dump all that extra money into the economy, demand would have gone down and prices would have been more stable.    So Biden is at fault for that as well.  Of course, Trump did the same thing giving away all that money.   But he's not president any longer.
