Second, for you to smear Senator McCain

There are times when the lack of comprehension knows no bounds.

You ignored Powell's lack of support for McCain. That's why Powell's a RINO.

Powell gave his reasons for his endorsement of Obama. You aren't required to like them or accept them. McCain's reaction to Powell's endorsement of his opponent: "I respect and continue to respect and admire Secretary Powell."

Joe Biden ran on that same ticket in 2008 as VP. Biden remained very close friends with John McCain and his family until the day that he died. McCain requested that his dear friend Joe speak at his funeral. McCain also famously pushed back when a woman at one of 2008 campaign rallies started to parrot lies about Obama; "No ma'am, no ma'am...".

Of course, Trump said nasty things about McCain after he died and his allies labeled McCain a RINO as well. The only Republicans not considered RINOs today are the ones blindly following Trump and kissing his posterior.

Decent Republican politicians and office holders are a dying breed. You can either push back on the lies or accept the Trumpublicans as the new party.

Because you brought up Trump and Powell. Regurgitating Trump's line that Powell was a RINO.

Powell was appointed to the highest national security positions by every Republican president from Reagan to George W. Bush, but Powell is a RINO in the eyes of Trump and his parrots. This is one of the many problems with what the Republican Party has become today.
Sorry, Powell was considered a RINO long before Trump when he supported Democrat (correction-Obama) against Republican and war-hero  Senator McCain.  Remember it was Powell who supported Republican Gov Bush at the Republican National Convention who was elected president in 2000.  Powell was given the post of Secretary of State by Bush as a reward and subsequently made the speech to the UN about Iraq WMDs to support Bush's position.  Powell looked the other way.  Of course, later he proclaimed he was sorry he did that.  But he did do it.

Reagan, George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, Obama, John McCain, Colin Powell, and Joe Biden all succeeded in something Trump has never and will never attain—being a decent human being.

This is what human decency looks like.

Trump is a loudmouth and very unpolitical in speech and temperament.  But he didn't get us into any phoney wars where millions of innocents were slaughtered.

By the way.  You forgot to list Johnson or have you forgotten Vietnam?

However, Powell was a RINO (Republican In Name Only)as asserted by Trump. … He supported both Democratic presidential candidates Obama and Clinton against Republicans McCain and Trump.  Apparently, Powell didn't think McCain's military and Senatorial service was good enough for him to make a good Republican President.

From memory, neither did Trump, who disparaged his war record and called him a ‘loser’ for being captured, on more than one occasion. As for not supporting McCain in his bid for the presidency - the choice of Sarah Palin as his running mate caused more than minor consternation in many a man.

Who needs Twitter? Trump is launching his own social media app, after being banned from Twitter and Facebook. The most remarkable thing about it that it will be called "Truth". The first statement from the new company is the announcement that Trump is your favorite president.

LOS ANGELES, Oct 20 (Reuters) - Former U.S. President Donald Trump will launch his own social media app, TRUTH Social, that he said would "stand up to Big Tech" companies such as Twitter and Facebook that have barred him from their platforms.

TRUTH Social will be created through a new company formed by a merger of the Trump Media and Technology Group and a special acquisition company (SPAC), according to a press release distributed by both organizations. “We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favorite American President has been silenced. This is unacceptable," Trump said in a written statement included in the release.

Another Trump failure in the works (University, steaks, real estate etc) to follow. Just last June:

Donald Trump has shut down his blog after just 29 days.
Trump reportedly became furious about reports the website was receiving little traffic.
Here's why experts previously told Insider that Trump's efforts to gain attention while banned from Twitter and Facebook were doomed to failure.

Powerful Democrats are talking about breaking up Facebook due to their "monopolistic" tendencies.  Neither Twitter nor Facebook practice "truth" only truth as they see it.  We really need the web open to all opinions.  Competition is good although I suspect Trump started his as a vehicle for his own political ambitions.

Another blunder by Biden. Hurting America and Democratic party.
He just appointed a Tesla hater, Qanon conspirator, a corrupt board member of a Swedish Lidar company with a conflict of interest to the boss of NHTSA.

President Biden plans to fill two major roles at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) with high-profile appointees. One, Missy Cummings is a well-regarded autonomy researcher who has been vocal in her criticisms of Tesla.

But Powell wasn't just any man.  He was a connected and entrenched Republican, a powerful member of the GOP.  He was a Secretary of State appointed by a Republican president.  His disloyalty in flipping party affiliation the way he did is why he's called a RINO.

I smell the auto union behind this.  If I'm not mistaken, Tesla is non-union.  Unions representing workers at GM and Ford and other union auto manufacturers want advantages for their companies.  So they whispered in Biden's ear to nominate someone not favorable to Tesla.

Main smells are sheer Tesla hate, pandering to UAW and extreme incompetency. Regrettably, who suffers most are the laid off UAW factory workers.

When America owned the world auto market, wages apparently weren't important.  Now that autos are made everywhere, the US became less competitive.  It's why our entire industrial base is in trouble.  All the printing isn't helping wither.   We can't afford foreign goods with a cheaper dollar. So cameras, film, as well as cars made elsewhere go up in price too.

It's already been a day long on hero worship, hysteria, and hype (hyperventilation and hyperbole) based on assumptions.
