Have a missed something?

What you're missing is a president with the leadership skills to mount a campaign to eradicate the virus (see New Zealand, South Korea, Vietnam, China etc).

Got it. You don't like Trump.  I guess you're a foreigner.

This is a good look: decomposing bodies in trucks outside a funeral home.

How many articles are published a day from a single source today?

But I'll repeat myself, the majority of the stories were downplaying it, and this has been shown repeatably.  Not t mention every Dem downplayed it too and admonished Trump for shutting down travel, including Biden.

Niether the Dems nor the Republicans have anything to stand on here.

But who is the commander in chief here, the media or the clown? It's not the medias job to keep the public safe...but it sure is one of the main responsibilities of the president. Who cares what the media said...it's all fake news right Joe? But there is zero doubt the president got early warnings and information from many different sources, repeatably...yet did dick all.

LOL.

I am pretty sure I already had this, but would surely catch it if it meant I can go outside without being punished.  Sorry, I am not going to live in fear over this highly survivable virus.

And yet you sit at home for weeks.

Bodies rot, significantly faster then people think, especially under the right conditions.

Being locked up in a truck without a way for the humidity or heat build up (both from the sun and the nature heat given off by rotting) to escape are very good conditions for rot to accelerate.

Like I mentioned before, you can rot to nothing by goo and bones in less than a week.    Not to mention, this is the epicenter, you know Cuomo and De Blasio land, both whom have proven they are very incompetent.

America isn't Slovakia.   When Slovakia closed its borders, no one noticed.

Yes America is different...that's why they are in the mess today.

Sure, but, according to you previously, we must listen to the experts, right!  All of the experts also down played this and Trump listened to them, so he really did nothing wrong according to your standards.

No I have not.  I have this called a smart phone and I can post while outside.  It is raining today with almost 2 inches predicted in the next 24 hours, so I'm in my home studio today.

I have taken plenty of photos in the past two and chipped balls around on the course, when it has not been raining.  I even shook a couple of hands of my neighbors' yesterday without fear, one of whom is a nurse.

That's total BS. Trump got numerous briefs from experts on his staff about the serious situation. Did you even read the article I posted about all the warning Trump received from Jan through March?

Sure, and he responded in the way he was advised to, shutting down the border.   Once again, he listened to the experts overall opinion, which, according to you and other liberals, is what he was suppose to do.  So I dont see the problem you have since he did what you said he should have.

I see The White House and Son-In-Law are praising their response to the pandemic. This prompted me to see how well they have done compared to other countries. The premise here is to say, "if the USA had performed as well/badly as for example Spain, they would have 173,775 deaths and they would have performed 10,302,706 tests....

I have put South Africa in because I live here - I am not for one moment suggesting we are the benchmark! We still have a long way to go.

Make of it what you will... :D

Why wouldn't coronavirus be just like the regular flu?

Because it is worse than the regular flu? Or more lethal?

Being worse than the flu is not making it "not flu." Just like a Doberman dog is 10x bigger and more lethal than a chihuahua doesn't make it a "non-dog."

Some of the new findings about this virus are possible neurological effects and muscle injuries. Doctors are seeing patients who are experiencing symptoms like seizures, hallucinations and loss of smell and taste. In severe cases, the virus may enter the brain through the olfactory nerve in the nasal cavity and damage neurons that control breathing and thus lead to death.

Quote
A recent study of 214 COVID-19 patients in Wuhan, China, found that one-third of them had neurological manifestations, including impaired consciousness and muscle injury. Similar symptoms and impairments, including strokes, have been reported in the U.S

Autopsy studies of patients who died in previous outbreaks of the closely related coronaviruses causing SARS and MERS found the SARS-CoV virus in patients’ brains. Once inside the brain, the virus resides almost exclusively inside neurons rather than in other types of brain cells (glia), suggesting a trans-neuronal mode of infection rather than an invasion of the brain from system-wide infection and entry through the blood-brain barrier, which can also happen.

Evidence is emerging that brain infection can also occur in COVID-19. Xinhua, the Chinese news agency, reported in early March on a 56-year-old patient in a Beijing hospital who had neurological symptoms that physicians described as “impaired consciousness.” Inspection of the patient’s cerebral spinal fluid led to a diagnosis of viral encephalitis, a type of brain inflammation that physicians attributed to the presence there of the COVID-19 virus. A non-peer-reviewed research report, posted Feb. 25 on the pre-print server medRxiv reports neurological symptoms in 78 severe cases of COVID-19 among a group of 214 patients treated at three Wuhan hospitals.

Yes, they are both viruses
