Age has nothing to do with it. You are very prolific poster on the net about your rights being taken away...yet you don't go out and do something about it...waiting for other Covidiots to do the dirty work for you. A cupcake.

Now you are just being a jerk. Who here has ever advocated that those who ARE at high risk should take that risk?

Here you go.  In the post below a local pointed out that the pier in the image used in the news stories no longer exists (in the size shown) due to recent hurricanes.  Oops.

Images and video of the pier, after the hurricane damage, can be see in this report. I haven't counted the supporting pillars, but I believe that the photograph were are discussing captures the same structure.

I watched people in Seattle travel much further than that to protest. So your rights aren't worth a 3 hour drive?

Not at this point.  Plus have you ever heard the song "Shit Town" by Live?  That pretty much describes Harrisburg.

I voted for Trump.  Let him worry about it.

Nope, but I've heard "shit country" by Trump. :o

We would need access to RAW files exif to verify the date. And the focal length. If taken with a 600mm or so lens, no wonder it looks packed.

However, if the photos are proven to be taken on that date, I will admit I was wrong and apologize.

It clearly was taken with a long lens, and that is deceptive. Here in London, at the outset of the crisis, a lot of photojournalists were filing long-lens pictures of 'crowded' London parks. Several local authorities proceeded to close them. Recently they were nudged by the government to open them up again. I'm in favour of a lockdown, but I think parks and beaches should remain open.

But my point is that the 'fake news' stories that appear in the right-wing press are normally more fake than the stories they attack. (I feel the same about the 'crying nurse' story — it seems to me she was a genuine nurse with a genuine grievance.)

Trump Says He'll 'Temporarily Suspend Immigration' Over Coronavirus Fears:

https://www.npr.org/2020/04/21/839547087/trump-says-hell-temporarily-suspend-immigration-over-coronavirus-fears

I'm shocked there isn't an exception for Norway. I thought Trump said he wished there were more immigrants from Norway. They're tremendous people.

In addition to showing the pier, I'm surprised there isn't a polar bear floating around on a small ice flow.

Some years ago, before the hurricane destroyed the old Pompano Beach pier, I saw a large manta ray swimming below the pier.

But since you mentioned a swimming bear, once I was travelling in a small motor boat from McGregor Bay to Baie Fine in North Channel and saw something swimming across the bay which was about half a mile wide in that place. Thinking that it was a beaver or a dog, I drove closer and was startled to see it was a black bear. I made a quick turn, the bear kept swimming, climbed up on the other shore, shook and disappeared in the thicket.

Nope, it's about some of the poorest countries on the planet where upwards of 2m people, many children, starve to death every year. That's your leader's true colours.

You must be confusing it with the Schitt's Creek (Canadian production) series on Neflix.

Good thing, Les, is that there is plenty of stuff to laugh about in this crisis.

That's priceless.

30 Years ago, I was scuba diving with my girlfriend at the time off Santa Rosa Island, 30 miles off the California coast from Santa Barbara.  We did a three night trip to the islands where you sleep and dive off the boat, the same boat type that burned up a year ago there killing all those divers.  In any case, we were diving through some kelp in about 40-50 feet of water when my girlfriend raps my shoulder and points up.  Ten feet over us sailing was a 12 foot wingspan manta ray gracefully sailing over us.  What a delightful experience.  The manta ray was pretty good too.

Anyone else getting the news that Kim Jung Un may be brain dead?

I am wondering how accurate this could be?

New Yorkers, worst area hit in country,  polled for when to re-open.

"Poll finds N.Y.C. residents divided on when to reopen.
About half of New York City residents say that nonessential businesses should remain closed into June, according to a survey released on Monday by the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy.

The poll, conducted over the weekend, found that 51 percent of New Yorkers want nonessential businesses to reopen by the end of April or May, with the other 49 percent preferring to wait until after June 1."

His enemies probably poisoned him with the same stuff they used on our American they sent back here.  Screw them all.

I have read about a dozen stories today from the usual sources about something being up, perhaps cardiovascular in nature. One suggested a heart procedure. But nothing is definitive because no officials are saying anything. Who reported he may be brain dead?

The Chinese Communists use the virus as an opportunity to destroy freedom in Hong Kong. Arrest all democracy leaders.  Why anyone would trust their excuses and nonsense about the virus is beyond me.

Maybe he had a stroke caused by stress with Trump.
