Last one (probably). A bit of warping and filling to raise the hills and allow me to exclude the sky that just kept pulling my eyes upwards. Ken

The newest version nails it, for me.
All three are excellent, but shouldn't be displayed side by side.

Sky and more of the hill above the trees plus sun shining on the right hand trees. The colour balance is probably different as I am just doodling with my laptop. Ken

I prefer this to the original, but my gripe, such as it was, could have been addressed without quite so much sky.

Losing a little of the sky may have scratched your itch Jeremy but leaving just a little sky attracted my eyes all the more, for me it is nice sky or no sky. I have got another image from the same file showing the solo canoeist who was far too small to be visible in the earlier posts, this one with no cloning or warping but it makes me want a longer lens than my present 70-200 but the Nikon F mount zooms are far too heavy for me. I like this one and the first, Partly for the same reason. They are not the "Expected"...No sky, makes the lake grand.

eliminating the mountain snow fields did the trick for me.
The last one is the best in my book. And the color contrast of the canoe works. It is a little bit of a "surprise".

The last one is an entirely different  photo from the first three. I like it very much.

The third is a wonderful shot, made so by the splash of colour in the trees to the right. I don't see the canoe as remotely important, unlike the first.

The original image works perfectly for me.

I really appreciate how your images do not rely on overworked oversaturated processing that is so common.  Keep it clean and simple.
