I'm sure Bloomberg believes that most people shouldn't vote because they don't understand things. The difference between Bloomberg and Trump is that while Trump was only kidding at being president for a third term, Bloomberg actually bought his third term as mayor. He promised the head of the NYC Council that he would support her later in her run for mayor if she would get the counsel to change the law. The law while he was mayor in his second term was that only two terms are allowed. So the Counsel changed the law to allow three terms, he ran, and won. When she ran after Bloomberg left, she lost. People were really perturbed she changed the law. In any case, the law was changed back subsequently to two terms.

Why do you choose to consider that racist rather than to look upon it as the inevitable result of having little experience in the workplace?

If your life as a kid has been mostly on the streets, fighting to survive and only obeying some gang leader, growing up believing that "what's mine is mine, and so is yours if I can get it," how else can you expect those kids to behave when placed into a different culture where it's quite possible the employer, or immediate boss at interface level at least, is just as ignorant of the kid's experience and expectations?

I'll tell you something: invite some average white guy to a good restaurant for dinner, and be surprised at the trouble he has knowing which set of tools to use for what and when. Those things come into your life early, or you need to be educated into the way of it. You should never take for granted that things you know other people also know. Behaviour is largely peer-generated. To get that you need only think back to your own youth (you, in the sense of all of us). I experienced it often when I tried to learn something about digital photography: mostly, those trying to answer and help asumed I knew far more than I actually did, which left their responses way above my head. As I said, it's easy to expect the other person to know as much as you do, and then feel disappointed in them when you prove yourself mistaken.

No, I don't think that Bloomberg was being racist: just observant. For a start, can everyone understand j¡ve talk?

Rob, I think calling that "racist" is just turning the table on Democrats who would, and do, call such a thing, if coming from Trump, or Republicans, racist within a millisecond.

I do not hold it against Bloomberg for saying that, or for saying what he said about stop & frisk, etc. I hold it against him for apologizing for telling the truth.

Having Bloomberg as a candidate pretty much destroys any Trump is a racist argument since Bloomberg has a litany of insensitive racially charged statements, even if they are essentially true. Neither Bloomberg, nor Trump for that matter, have the gift of decorum.

Also, I might added that the Bernie Bros are already labeling Bloomberg a racist, protesting his events and getting kicked out. If Bloomberg wins the primary, about a 1/3 of the Dems just wont vote.

I think James Carville (retired Democrat consultant) put it best when he said there is a big city smugness in the party right now that will cause the Dems to loose. Bloomberg pretty much exemplifies that.

I agree. However, I did vote for Trump and I will do so again in 2020. For results, he will go down in history as the most productive President in our lifetimes. As for his personality, not a fan of his attacks, but my investments and tax returns don't care about personalities.

Today Trump committed or pardoned ex Governor Blagojevich, a Democrat, Millikan junk bond king, and Bernie Kerik, ex NYC police commissioner under Giuliani after 911. I thought he'd wait until after the election. He'll probably pardon some big black honcho to secure the black vote against accused "racist" Bloomberg.

You not liking Trump doesn't mean anything. 90% of Republicans support Trump. There's no room for Bloomberg or anyone else right now. Bloomberg had to run as a Democrat.
