It would be a sad sight in Michigan too, or even in Colorado, Peter, but this is a cypress in Florida, and there's a couple weeks' period at this time of year when the cypress do this. It's pretty much an individual performance for each tree. This guy is in his color period. There's a much larger tree down the river a bit from here who's barely begun to turn. In another week he'll probably be very red. Along the Palatlakaha, nature is an enthusiastic performer.
