I think there is a different version in there somewhere. Something akin to a Crewdson filmic look, or maybe a late kodachrome americas look. Can't quite explain. I attach an attempt, but it is merely an attempt that maybe didn't quite hit it either. Perhaps you see what I mean.

Really!? I thought the versions are almost identical, except for less visible artifacts.

Load them both and switch back and forth. The artefacts are gone, which is good. But the band of cloud across the centre is darker - too dark for my taste - and the white paintwork on the building is less white, which spoils the contrast.

IMHO.

In this case, I believe colour trumps black/white. And yeah, Crewdson without the cast of extras.

I dig Oscar's crop, but I think the tones of the original iPhone product are the best solution. Jeremy's exactly right - the later BW process is lacking contrast.
