I hadn’t noticed the second child and you’re right that the front girl appears healthy. Still, while criticizing a different culture can be tricky, considering what appears to be a filthy setting and the open use of opium, one would like the think there are healthier ways to live.

I don’t minimize the drama, but imagine the image of a fat beer drinking western man hanging in the coach watching télé while mom is smoking one cigarette after the other while hanging on the phone for two hours while the baby lies in the baby room with a loaded diaper, crying for affection. Ian Dalrymple kind of drama. And it is close, very close.
