Working with the latest version of AI Gigapixel. I wanted to uprez a shot, taken in multi segments, into a pano. Kolor Cylindrical was more than likely the stitching format I picked based on the name of the file.
In CC, the image shows the final work, after I warped manually the edges and odds are did some cropping. Photoshop sees the file correctly, and uprezing with PS works as I expected. However in AI, the file loads showing what appears to be the original Kolor projection, i.e. cyindrical. And does not see the image as Photoshop or other tools do. You can still uprez, but having to go back and re-warp or other solution is strange. I have not tried this on many other Kolor panos, or Photoshop panos, yet, but will test to see if this is something due to Kolor or all pano projections that AI is going back to something deep in the image projection. Note in photoshop the correct image shows to the correct output resolution.
Screen shots below, showing file opened in photoshop then AI Gigapixel and you can see where Gigapixel has gone back to the original projection. Note the image is flattened no layers involved.
