Colornavigator 7 and i1 Pro 2 measurement device
« on: November 24, 2018, 05:40:00 pm »

I thought I'd share a solution to a problem I encountered getting Colornavigator 7 to recognize my i1 Pro 2 spectrophotometer.

I followed all the troubleshooting steps Eizo recommends (manually select device, restart CN7, restart computer, reinstall software) and couldn't succeed in getting CN7 to recognize the i1 Pro 2.  Finally, I opened Activity Monitor, found that an agent for i1Profiler called i1Profiler Tray was running in the background.  When I stopped that process, CN7 was able to find the i1 Pro 2.  This would probably be the case for any Xrite device where you have i1Profiler installed.

Yeah, the tray software from X-rite is absolutely unnecessary even with their own software products.
