Sigma Art Lenses in the rain?
« on: November 08, 2018, 10:48:13 PM »

Does anyone have any experience with Sigma Art Lenses in the rain? Do they hold up? Iíll be using mine in a Nikon D850. Thanks!

Not so much rain, but I use mine all the time in blizzards.  The more extreme the winter weather, the more apt I am to be out in it.  Using reasonable care, I've had no issues.

Keep in mind that while manufacturers might make a selling point of "weather sealing," not one of them will guarantee anything.  I see the "weather proofing" claim more as marketing than fact, and act accordingly.

In iffy weather I like carrying a Rainsleeve (or just a clear plastic bag & rubberband) even with "weatherproof" gear.
