You like that? try this. No, it's not IR, it's frost.  :)

We get freezing fog a few times a year here that usually leaves some good frost.

Thanks guys! It's one of my favorite weather conditions for sure. This one lasted a few days under a big inversion so the frost got really thick. I'd been shooting around town and realized all my images looked monochrome so I came to this park where I hoped to find this burst of color, just to show it's a color photo!

Continuing the frost theme from the comfort of my sleeping bag. I do like being able to indulge my photography passion without getting out of bed. :)

Yes! I also enjoy that when it comes together. This was from my bivvy spot, sitting up in my sleeping bag. I left the tripod set up over night.

Superb capture, and thank you for suffering for your art on our behalf by camping on the shady side of the valley.  ;)

Thanks! Ha, yes it was tough but someone had to do it. I actually had a bear encounter the night before that left me a little nervous sleeping out like that but it all worked out ok.
The bear and I crossed paths after I shot some starscapes and was walking back to camp and I just yelled at it and told it to go away and it did. Not my most restful night of sleep and I kept the bear spray close.

Outstanding image, Matt. As for the bears, they know, "Oh, its the crazy guy with camera."  ;)

Well we've run out of snow on the craggy mountainsides here in the UK now. This shot of Dow crag will have to do.

I did take one but with a wide angle lens in the dark at 150 yards or so. Not really discernible besides the eyes. I didn't ever post it because it's not really recognizable or an interesting shot.
