Kevin, I see you are enjoying the showcase chain. Lots of interesting work from you. It's a good way to show your work and see and learn from the work of others.

Shadows and stairs it is:

Thanks John. I've actually been surprised by how many times an image of mine has been appropriate to the thread. :)

That's pretty cool, Ivo. Good composition. Edgy. Was it done with an app? It has that look.

Tx John.

My father, a passionate photo maker, always said: “Son, if you are a real photographer, you can make a decent photo through a hole in a shoebox.”
So why not with a iPod.
The Hipstamatic app was fun to use, for a while, then it got boring.
Anyhow.
I made a complete book with the iPod. It was really fun to do.

Photographer's paradise:
Ah yes, but I have different kind of paradise also with enticing red to lead the way.

This must be bridge therapy or something. I feel like spanning the heavens.

Beautiful Matt and Larry. Matt, I see how the shapes created by the ice mimics the shapes of the rocks. And you must cross the bridge, the clouds demand it. Larry, the rushing river and sleet like snow make this look so raw and gritty, yet it is soft and ethereal because of the snow cover. What a combination!

Thanks JR!

The roads were sketchy that morning, trees and debris and a little slick since the plows were not out, but I was well-rewarded at a favorite mini-gorge and a couple of other places that day!

You can't find a good photo if you don't go out and search for it!

That's a beautiful photo. I really like all the motion and color palette. Solid composition too.
All the open water around here is buried under ice and snow and I'm missing it! One of my favorite quick photo subjects for my evening ventures.

Love the gnarly branches  (right central) drawing the view into the depth and turbulence of the action, "Bring it on!". Has roaring volume for soundtrack too. All around pleasing capture of many supporting elements to combine to give the smile~
