I don't have rock stars, but I can link to people while fishing.

Trees can be a handy support, not only for pictures; this one's a fig, but that's what the goats didn't give:

Helicopter! No, it's all a P.S. illusion. Not against the rules I hope?  ;)

Not at all. Looks realistic enough and probable. Besides, what was that videosoftware widely used in the carindustry praised for exactly this effect?

I used to do this as a kid – spinning 'round while looking at the canopy!

I got an uncomfortable feeling from first glance at the shot.

I think it gives me the impression of the speed effect going the wrong way, somehow. It's well graded in effect fore-to-aft regarding quantity of movement, but overall, not right IMO. Perhaps the shadow by the side of the engine is just too crisp, giving the sense that the loco is moving along the side of a green wall instead of a non-uniform surface... ?

Or, it's a case of negative geometry brought about by the perspective of the track.

:-)

There is a slight sense of the train moving in the other direction. Perhaps the vanishing point for the effect should be slightlly higher up since it is supposed to represent the camera movement, not the camera viewpoint.?

Rob and Oscar – I'd hate going to the movies with you two! All those visual glitches and anachronisms seen and commented upon.  ;) Reminds me of the second time I saw 2001: A Space Odyssey.

It was a device I sometimes used to distract myself from the horror in horror movies. I don't watch them at all now, but my wife used to enjoy them so I sat along and kept her company...

Have a close at these leaves. They are mostly fake. But I was fooled nonetheless. Apparently a rock group did a video at this conservation park and left all these fake leaves behind. When I spotted them on my hike, I was so excited and couldn't believe my luck. Such colour! Eventually it bothered me that there were no maple trees around these leaves. I looked up and saw only cedars. I lifted one of the leaves and realized they were plastic. But by then I had taken scores of images.
