I have to ask John, how was the blur achieved? Some parts look in focus but others not so much. Not that I don't like it, I do, as it has an old world and dreamy quality to it.
The reality is
too slow a shutter speed, plus lots of 'playing' afterwards.
I've always felt that sharpness is just
one of the many attributes of an image. It's easy to get caught up in the "must be pin sharp", or "no 100% whites or blacks in my histogram" kind of thinking. I could easily have 'trashed' this picture, but I took it for a reason, then worked to render what I saw/felt.
