I came for the fog but was too late. What did I find? The melting snow showing a bit spring - and the way home of course...

Both lovely. The second is my favorite.

Thank you gentlemen.

The melting snow has given me an opportunity to show this abstract landscape. Not from this year but it does illustrate what I want to show. Note the blue of the sky and red oxide coming through and permeating the thin layers of melting snow. The patchwork of browns and whites gives rise to its own landscape. One of my favourite places, but alas, no longer accessible.

Thanks Eric.

Anyway, went on a walk with my brother to Dundas Valley Conservation. Wonderful place. It was a beautiful sunny day. No complaints here. Harsh light, but I managed a few with ICM. The technique softened the light.

On a ridge looking down into the Dundas Valley.

And here is probably the last vestige of snowy winter in our area. That's why I 'sketched' it ;)

Soon the brown landscape of March will give way to the greens of early spring. Taken in the Dundas Valley forest.

Smooth speed! I like it a lot and there's already some greenish moss on the trees!

Thank you David, Francois and Eric. Hopefully, like Spring, it is just the beginning!

I like these trees, they seem to be vacuumed towards the sky… by a vortex, maybe?

Thanks Francois. Yes it's an ethereal updraft. Spring is like that, always something new. Like this from same walk:

This is the best shot yet, IMHO.
