That monster near the bottom: He is smiling, isn't he?
I didn't want to get close enough to be certain.

These are my tree buddies, usually down to earth and friendly. So be kind with your comments 'cause you never know when they will grab you ;)

Excellent.

Yes...and the dish ran away with the spoon... but I missed it!

It was snowing when I took this shot. It was soft, hazy, grey-white washed look. I increased the brightness and contrast a bit. In the end I may go high contrast, just black and white.

Hope you can the gray-white streaks of snow. I could of course eliminate them. But I doubt it will improve much.

added this one from abstract thread:

Very nice just as it is.
I look forward to your high-contrast version.

I usually like high contrast B&W, but in this case I think I prefer the first one.

Thanks for the feedback Arlen. I suspected as much. I needed a higher vantage point to really make these shapes sing.

Look at the wisps of snow as they appear to fly through the air.

I love it. Here, only a few minutes of wet snow and that's it ;-(

Thank you Francois and Eric.

But what to do when the snow has melted? Play I spy in mind's eye, of course.

The last one is wonderful with this dark background, the tree reflection and the floating leaves.

Thanks Francois and Eric. The leaves on the ground appear to be hanging from the tree. This is one of my favorites of the year.

Mushrooms gathering in the woods today just like the Teddy bear's picnic song for kids.

By the pond on a December morning. You can see a darker green which are reflections of pines on the water.
The lighter green is reflections on a thin layer of ice. I chose a "lighter" representation.
