Oh, that's a nice shot, ~ O ~!!
Yes, really cool Oscar. Also try with backlighting, you get some really cool effects and amplified highlights strewn everywhere. Try also slow exposures (about 1 sec) when the wind is blowing, may produce wonderful ethereal effects! Welcome to the club.

From Erindale I discovered a field of tall grasses blowing in the wind and wild grapes
 which I already posted.

From this new location, called Riverwood, I discovered a field of loosestrife and goldenrod;
and I like this location even more. It's where I took the abstract.

Sometimes dark and mysterious as I walk under a canopy of trees:

And to think for years I never visited these places!

Went on walk with a neighbour who wanted to learn photography. We headed to a park which has college campus on its grounds. As night fell we tried some crazy things I probably never would have tried using ISO 3200 and above- hand held! Who knew, sometimes these things come out.

Thanks Oscar. Yesterday I was out showing someone how to look for simple elements like light on structures and
then try incorporate it as past of your image. This combined with a gradient produced this image:

And this one. She said, "told you I would stop for you one day."

And this one taken with cell phone on way home.

From today's walk at James Gardens. From the soft and subtle to the harshness of BW bold experimentation.

I think this is overpowering. It looks like flash lit shot. But I will give it a try in downtown Toronto on sunny day.
You Never know.

I like 1 and 2, but 3 is too harsh (sharp) for me. I have to take off my glasses to view it, and then it looks like 2.  ;)

I disagree. I think #3 is what makes you realize you've finally sobered up.

Exactly. I said, hmm, what would Russ do with this new bold black filter. Why he would shoot sober. So I did. But in my pocket, I kept the ICM filter which is irrepressible, as you can plainly see. Thanks guys.

Now why would I want to sober up?    :D

John, I should have mentioned that I really like that picture. Just shows that if you'd get that intermittently defective lens fixed you could do really excellent work.

Thanks Russ. Just for fun, how about a compromise, half bokeh, half in focus. Taken on tonight's walk.
