I think it is not mahjong, Russ: that's played with hands of tiles. It could be shogi, perhaps.

I'm sure you're right, Jeremy. I'm no expert on games like this. I prefer poker, especially five card stud, which is the real thing.

Yes; it's called shogi in Japan, I think. I'm not sure about the cross on the board in Fursan's picture.

Ha, this is GO. challenging game!

I recognize the scene. When I play GO with my wife I sit concentrated as hell and she digs in here purse, fiddles with here cellphone, instruct the cat to stay out the sofa and tells me I have a longer hair in my eyebrow.

And she wins the game on one leg.

Damnit.
