Ha! The diptych idea is nice, but I think the second one works well as a single image. It tells a story

Thanks, all. The Zodiac's wake is the distinguishing feature of #2 and although I don't like the large white triangle of snow, it's easily fixable. The only feature of #1 which I preferred was the fact that the bird's head clears the ground line.

Absolutely. Without the boat the bird's stranded. It's good to know he's going to get out of that godforsaken place.
