Cleaning Pinch Roller
« on: May 15, 2018, 12:33:46 pm »

After a series of print maybe i've found the solution to my problem of vertical banding on my canon IPF8300.
Maybe is not banding at all! Seems really plausible due to the almost perfect correspondence on the pattern and distribution that the vertical signs i see on the black prints are no other than Pinch Roller sign!!!!

And this could solve the problem of this topic:

and similar

But now...

How can i clean the Pinch Roller?????? has it ever happened to you?

This may be something to check directly with Canon if they have a good solution/suggestion to make sure nothing happens to the feed area otherwise.

I would think you'd feed something like a luster or glossy through the rollers a few times and grab anything sticking to them (since a sheen paper has a "stickiness" in some way).

Make sure that you have the best media settings selected as this can sometimes affect the way it feeds too.

Just suggestions.
