I think I enjoyed watching people the most.

Well worth it too!

Really nice John. Are those 'Bailey's Beads" I see on the right?

Yes sir, and thank you!  I have about 400 telephoto shots to go through.  I spotted this one quickly though.  Pretty good detail on the beads.

Just finished processing this one.  I'm enjoying working through these, processing is quite a bit different than what I usually do.  It's difficult to pull out as much detail as you want.

I used an old manual Pentax A* 300/4 lens on a similarly old Vivitar 2x TC for the sun shot. A crop body (K-3) helped with reach.

The shadows were probably more interesting and made a unique shot a lot more feasible.

Like that black and white shot.

I REALLY love this photograph. To me, these types of photographs evoke more of a deep feeling of wonder than the actual eclipse itself.
Great work!

Hi,

Made a Timelapse with telescope, ecuatorial mount and H-Alpha filter. I guess being a time it is allowed here :-)

This was in Mexico in the town of San Luis Potosi.

Look at this link

Thanks for watching

Nice Baily's beads!
There really is a very short time between totality and diamond ring - about 5 to 10 seconds - in which some form of beads are visible.

+1 Very effective (the time lapse, that is, and the use of Strauss, I suppose!)  :)

Probably one of my last posts from the eclipse.  I finally did a composite, I think the rule is you have to do one :)
