Olympus claims to have improved rolling shutter on the Olympus E-M1 II. While someone accurately measures its sensor readout, I have assumed it to be (al least)
1/60s since the camera has a 60fps electronic shutter mode.
Will rolling shutter invalidate using Capture Pro, and electronic shutter in general, with fast moving subjects?. I have done a simulation to estimate how much it can affect: tennis!. The capture was done at 1/60s. Since the tennis racket spreads over ~1/3 of the sensor's vertical size, the rolling shutter effect will contain deformations spreading over 1/180s:
Any thoughts about this being or not fast enough?. For being a linear subject a tennis racket is a hard test for RS.
