Not if you're shooting sports/wildlife at the end of long, prime lenses with optimal FPS/AF performance there isn't.

There's also a lot more to photography then this niche  :o

And Slobodan, you're the OP of this thread. Do you ask John to stay out of it to keep a quiet place, or is it OK for him to show up here as long as he doesn't talk about the supremacy of any system, camera or lens.

No, John is friend, and I am actually happy he got laid with a girl of his dreams... as long as he gets a room and refrains from TMI ;)

This thread is much more entertaining than the Brexit one.  ;)

It's now time for a coming out... John/Jack and I are in fact the same person, he is just an avatar.

I started under cover as a fake Canon user to give myself some apparence of objectivity but have in fact loved Nikon all along!

Or, even more amazingly, I have been a double infiltrated agent and will switch back to Canon after realzing that Nikon does in fact suck...

Hum... I am getting a bit confused by my fake/real avatar dreams... should I wake up?

Cheers,
Bernack

C'mon Slobodan, this is a safe space here, even you can now confess that you are really a secret Nikon voyeur! ;) ;)

We don't need a safe place on LuLa...that's what DPReview.com is for. I think Slobodan trolls the Nikon DX consumer forum so he can help people decide to move to a used D7000 from a D80 and tell them all about "3d color pop" in older lenses.

I may be mistaken, though.

But the Brexit thread certainly gets high marks for creativity if not for aesthetics, Jeremy.

Hi and Canon before that.

I don't have an ignore button for John, but I ignore almost all his postings because of his quite aggressive tone and extreme fanboyism. It is a bit unfortunate because he makes good use of his beloved Nikon (and formerly Canon) in making excellent and lovely images.

Best regards
Erik

This is a somewhat bemusing thread: why would anyone care which camera another person uses?

As it comes down, largely, to money, perceived aesthetics, format, expected usage, it all seems just a wee bit strange.

Forget all this stuff, Portugal is in the Euro 2016 finals!

As a revenge, the EU commission (don't know which one, there are so many...) has decided to recommend to the Ecofin to apply sanctions against Portugal and Spain (first and last countries in the old PIGS acronym) for not complying to the 3% deficit target. Portugal's deficit in 2015 was 3.2%, for 2016 it is too early to tell. I am all in favour of obeying the rules, but I find it a tad funny that so much effort is placed in this item, you know, with Brexit and all... the cynic in my may start wondering that Portugal would economically benefit from a terrorist attack, as an excuse not to comply with signed treaties...

Hi Rob,

It probably has to do with the fanboy's personal sense of insecurity, he/she seeks confirmation.
Alternatively it is nothing more than flame-bait, which could also be corroborated by threads being locked by the OP when sensible counter arguments are presented. One can only hope that the LuLa forums don't become some sort of DPreview forum.

Cheers,
Bart
